Our experience with Annie MacDonald the Tour Guide was really bad. I recently booked a private tour with high hopes of an exclusive and personalized experience. However, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment when our tour guide failed to show up. This was not just a minor inconvenience; it was a complete letdown. We had meticulously planned this trip, and the private tour was supposed to be a highlight. Imagine our frustration when we were left standing there, waiting for a guide who never appeared. We had to scramble to find an alternative, and the only option was to join another group tour as an emergency measure. The lack of communication from the tour guide company was astonishing. No one bothered to inform us of the guide's absence or offer an apology. It felt like they simply took our money and left us high and dry. This experience left a sour taste in our mouths, and I would strongly caution anyone considering booking with this tour guide or company. Reliability and professionalism are essential in the tourism industry, and unfortunately, they failed miserably in this regard. Our trip was marred by this incident, and it's a memory I would rather forget. Save yourself the disappointment and look elsewhere for a more reliable tour experience.

Thank you very much Annie for the great tour with you this week. We really enjoyed it and being with the lovely group just made our day. You worked so hard to make the tour enjoyable and we got the most out of it with your historical facts and stories and your passion for your island. We enjoyed the Iron Age House tour with Paul very informative, interesting, and an eye opener of past times we did not know. Kindest regards Cheryl & Allisdair.

This trip was very unsatisfactory and grossly missold. We were expecting a small minibus tour as were many others from our cruise ship. Start time was shown as 9am but we didn't set off until 10.35 in a large coach. We did not get to see the Iron Age house but were driven to a beach. We've seen those before! A very bad day out and not worth the cost. Please refund £200 of the £240 paid. The guide Annie was v unprofessional in her attitude and her choice of clothing - leggings and a scruffy T shirt. Run, don't walk, from this tour operator. A complete misrepresentation of the experience to be provided. Promised small van, got on a bus with 40 plus others. Promised 9:30 start time, tour commenced at 10:40. Trip ended 1 hour earlier than expected. Only three short stops. Everyone was lied to as well. A lot of upset guests but refunds were not offered and no other options while in port at the time. Wanted to Love Hebrides but came away disappointed.

My 9:30 pickup never happened. A call to the operator at 10:15 went to voicemail. At 11:30 the operator arrived with apologies that she had a family service (understandable) and somehow had forgotten to let me know (not understandable). I have requested a refund.

Been wanting to visit Callanish for years the Blackhouse was a bonus. The trip was very good and gave us a real taste of Lewis (especially the roll with Stornoway black pudding fab). A little miscommunication before the pick up but the trip itself very well organised and so informative. The drive across Lewis was great and the views of Harris. Lovely day out

Amazing service. Annie was incredibly kind and knowledgeable of the area. It was a great day out. Bonus was, no one else booked the tour so I had a private tour for my adventures.
