Our guide was awesome!!! Very informative and he was also very knowledgeable. We will do it again. We went back to the Cemetaries the next day to follow up on what he told us. Loved it!

It was a great tour!!! Justin had so much interesting information and stories! He was very animated and held our interest. You can tell he loves what he does. We do these walks wherever we travel. This was definitely one of the best!

Overall great ghost tour around Boston’s most haunted locations. The only negative was the bathroom break in the Omni - I didn’t think it was necessary for an 90 minute tour and would have been nice to see another location or hear another ghost story instead.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. My best friend booked this tour for us on Oct. 30. We literally landed at the airport, got off the plane, and drove over a hour and 40 min out of our way to attend this walking tour. We had dinner, and went to the meeting location that was provided. We had no other reason to drive to Boston other than this tour- it was very much out of the way of our hotel. We, along with about 25 others, were at the meeting location and our tour guide never showed up! Around 930pm, many others with us began calling the phone number provided in the confirmation email. They had no information and we were told no one was showing up to give the tour. We drove the hour and 40 min back to our hotel upset and extremely disappointed that a company could treat customers this way. Search elsewhere for ghost tours! This is horribly unprofessional! We did get a full refund.

The first night I expected to do this tour, our guide no-call/no-showed, which was a bummer and a huge waste of time. The company did offer me a refund or a reschedule, so I opted to reschedule for another day. Our tour guide was late to the meeting point and told us to be there 15 minutes beforehand, yet got there 5 after herself. I love a good ghost tour and this one was pretty boring, no mic so we couldn't hear her too well either. Two stars because at least the company offered me a refund, and the guide was very nice herself. I wouldn't recommend.

My friend & I arrived at the meeting site 45 minutes early. Our tour was to begin at 9:00. We called Ghost City Tours Boston (855-999-9026) at 8:55 because no one was showing up. We used our GPS with our phones & were in the right place. The woman (forgot her name) I spoke to said the guide had called & said he was running late & to wait where we were. We waited until 9:15 & then called back. I spoke to Madison. She had a completely different story. She said the guide was at the meeting spot & had checked in 4 or 5 other people but we did not show up!! She said he waited 5 minutes & then left! She wasn't very nice & implied that it was our fault for not being in the right spot! We never once seen anyone else even looking for this tour or stop at where we were. I asked for a refund & all she could give me was a voucher for another tour!! I don't need to have them KEEP MY MONEY!! Then to add insult to an already upsetting moment she said because I booked through Tripadvisor I would only be refunded $52.68!! I paid $69.98 through Tripadvisor. She said that I should have booked directly with them as it was cheaper. So needless to say I will not be using Tripadvisor ever again!! I am furious. I think that it was a ripoff & they didn't show up! I don't believe they had others on the tour. How would we know the truth? She could say anything to justify themselves & not give me a refund as they should instead of basically keeping my money. I have no idea when or if I will ever be able to use the $52.68 voucher because I am convinced that it is a worthless piece of paper with small print & exclusions. I have pictures with GPS cordinates to prove we were there so I will never trust this again!

We left after 30 minutes. This would probably be a good tour with a more experienced guide. After hearing “umm” for the 10th time in a single sentence, we had to bail. She brought her boyfriend on the tour, announced that people should feel free to smoke and vape on the tour (this is whatever, it was just weird because it was Halloween and there were dozens of children walking by at every moment). As we gathered to hear about a statue, the group covered the whole street so pedestrians were forced to walk into the road with oncoming traffic to avoid us. The guide did not notice or mention safety at all. We saw a woman with a stroller have to go into the street to get around us. Her jokes were pretty flat and borderline offensive in moments. When telling the story of a woman who died in the Common, she said “Who would want to be a maid? Nobody. That’s just not the vibe” There’s such a better way to make this point about this individuals attitude at the time, and the lack of awareness that some people on your tour could work as maids was just completely lost on her. Overall, the umms, likes, and totallys are what killed this tour. Like… RIP.

The tour guide never showed up. About 30 of us were at the meeting point for a half hour before giving up and going home. Many of us called the tour company to see what was going on but either got voice recordings, endless wait, or staff who had no information. We are wondering why there was no notice that the tour was cancelled, or even a message after the fact once it was clear that the guide did not show up. The day after we heard nothing from the tour operator explaining why there was a no show or offering a refund. We even got a standard, “How was the tour, give us a review!” message. So this is my review. I’ve reached out to the tour operator via email and am awaiting a reply, and expecting a full refund. So far this is very unprofessional.

There was lots of great stories and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and very funny. The tour guide was quite good at involving the group in the stories.
