I was fortunate to have found this wonderful birding excursion offered by A Rocha online. Guillaume is a super guide ... very knowledgeable, friendly and in tune with his clients. We had a relaxed, very thorough tour of the region. He really knows his stuff! And he can give the tour in French, English or Portuguese. I am French-speaking, so chose to have the tour in French. On our tour, we saw at least 47 species of birds, most of which were new to my life list. I was thrilled! And I got a few great pics of the birds, in particular, the Iberian Grey Shrike that seemed to be everywhere that day. We also saw three Imperial Eagles (!), a Spoonbill, dozens of Great Bustards, a Little Owl, Northern Lapwings, Cattle Egrets, White Storks in their nests and an impressive number of birds of prey, such as the Common and Lesser Kestrels. All in all an amazing day! I highly recommend A Rocha birding tours, in particular Guillaume!
