Jack was a great guide and the food was wonderful. Really enjoyed Plant City, Ellie's and the Malted Barley.

Jack was fun and knowledgeable. Great group of people and the restaurants were fantastic! Plenty of food.

Jack did an awesome job telling us about the eateries and some of Providence’s history. The food and drink on the tour were well worth the cost with my favorite being the Rhode Island Clam Chowder. Delicious. When we come back to the area we will definitely sign up for another tour.

We woke up on the morning of the food tour to a gloomy, rainy, chilly day. But that didn't take away from this fantastic food tour! Our tour guide, Elise, was personable and knowledgeable. And everything we tried was great. The Vietnamese street food and bubble tea at Charuma, the clam cake at Dune Bros and the truffle mushroom kale pizza at Plant City were our favorites, but it was hard to find fault with anything we ate. We went to a noodle restaurant (can't remember the name - it was new to the tour and replaced Geoff's Sandwiches), and the ramen was delicious. We have been on many food tours, and we find them to be a great way to learn about the neighborhood and try a variety of the best foods they have to offer. This tour did not disappoint. Do not eat breakfast. You will want to be hungry.

This was my husband's and I first food tour and first visit to Rhode Island. The tour guide Jack was funny, super sweet and very knowledgeable (we left feeling like we've known him for years) The group was small and friendly. We added the drinks to our tour which was nice. We did a chowder stop, boba tea with chicken and fries, a noodle place, Double zero a plant base pizza and my husband and I did not miss the meat at all and the nut base "cheese" was delicious (our favorite stop) we also stopped at a bakery it was delicious not too sweet and a pub that served an awesome pretzel with flights of beer yummy! We loved the food tour and we are looking forward to booking with them again in Newport. We highly recommend the Downcity walking food tour!

Jack was an awesome tour guide. The clam chowder and pizza were delicious and we learned so much. Jack knew so much about Providence history that added a special touch and we learned all about the city. Loved it and would do it again!

This food tour is most definitely a worthwhile experience to see Providence's culinary and cultural aspect. Our tour guide Elise is very knowledgeable of the area and the historical influences behind certain nonprofit organizations and the restaurants that we visited. The venues are diverse, ranging from vegan Italian to Asian foods to Parisian cafe to local crafted beer & pretzel. I highly recommend it even if it's raining!
