My partner and I went on the walking tour on Tuesday night, April 9. 2024. The tour was truly fascinating. Our guide had pictures of old Las Vegas, and gave us an excellent illustration and explanation of how the downtown and casinos had changed over time. While we were somewhat familiar with the Fremont district, the stories and history were very engaging. A wonderful tour for anyone interested in the background and history of Las Vegas.

Richard Evans was my tour guide, and it ended up being just the two of us. His great wealth of knowledge created a very informative tour for me. He is very kind, friendly, funny, and intelligent. I have not been to Vegas many times, and I learned a lot on that 2 hour tour that helped me to understand so much more about this wonderful city. I highly recommend using Richard as your next tour guide, you won’t be disappointed.

No thought or planning by guide. Meeting place was unlit and populated with panhandlers and possibly dangerous people. My family was nervous and felt unsafe as we waited for guide to show. And I'm from NYC. Poor choice, why put us in this position? The Fremont mall was well lit and a few blocks away or an open business would have been better. It was dark and desolate. It was Christmas day and the Container Park which is a local sight and many other stores and sights in area were closed. We were not informed to expect that. Didn't know Vegas closed. Shouldn't offer tour that day if area is closed. When guide appeared in the shadow (no sign or name tag) wouldn't address our concerns and so we left and toured the Fremont experience on our own.

Richard gave us a detailed and informative tour telling us all about the founding of Las Vegas and the beginnings of the casino and hotel business.

We loved this tour. We learned a ton about the early mob. Was shown pictures in each casino and Sammy did a great job of making those pics come alive. He pointed out many items in the casinos we would have missed on our own. Sammy was also funny and very friendly.

Extremely knowledgeable and well spoken on all aspects of old Vegas. Highly recommended to anyone looking to check out that area.

Good guy and great knowledge about stuff. Wish we were able to see the praying mantis show. Kind of all over the place at some point.

Our (unintentionally) private tour of Fremont Street with Richard was great! His enthusiastic telling of stories and the history of the area and all of Las Vegas was exactly what we were looking for from this tour. Would love to explore more with Richard someday!
