Your Itinerary

Chateau de Berne cellar

We're heading for Provence. Within a little more than an hour we will get to the neighboring region of the VAR, and our first stop is the Chateau de Berne, one of the most famous Provençal wine producers. Here you will discover the treasures of the Chateau's cellars, by also tasting olive oils, jams and honeys prepared at the place.

Gorges du Verdon

Your route will take place at the mouth of the Verdon River - this is an amazing place, the abundant vegetation of which rages all shades of green. You will be able to observe how the two regions of the Var and the Alps of Upper Provence merge their Mediterranean and Alpine ecosystems. You will have several stops on the slopes of the canyon, where you can experience the grandeur of this place and make memorable photos.

Moustiers Sainte-Marie

After learning all the secrets wine of production (well, almost), we will go to Moustiers-Sainte Marie. Town famous for its relations with the Sun King Louis 14th and Marie Antoinette. It was right here that porcelain was produced for the king himself thanks to local resources and particularly the triad — water, wood, fine clay. We will go for a walk on the cobblestone streets, plunging more and more into the Middle Ages. Many atelliers offer products from porcelain (‘faience’) for every taste. We will visit one of them – a pottery workshop that for more than 200 years turns clay into real fine pieces of art using medieval technology. You won’t find a single identical thing, each product is unique and truely not repeatable. The owner of the store will tell you a lot of interesting things about the history of porcelain and his workshop.

Moustiers Sainte-Marie

Before you continue to the lavender fields we recommend you to stop for lunch at the restaurant "At the Falls" with its remarkable menu of quail, guinea fowl and many other delicious dishes.

Valensole

Just 10 minutes from there, on the Valensol you’ll be astonished with the view – lavender fields as much as you can see down to the horizon. Not only unforgettable photos comes from there but also take a bit of fresh Lavender you might take with you.

Grand Canyon Integral, descente de l'integralite du canyon du Verdon

Heading back we will pass through the great Verdon Canyon - one of the most spectacular and exciting places in Europe with it’s river that would take your breath away. Don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of occasions to take valuable impressions and unforgettable photos there. This part of the tour is seasonal, takes place in June, July and early August (the flowering season of lavender) Then your guide would take you back to Cannes
