Known as the Matchmaker Saint and the Saint of the Recovery of Lost Items, Saint Anthony is the popular Patron Saint of Portugal. The Church of Saint Anthony is a must-see for all Catholics. Praca do Comercio (Terreiro do Paco)
Our final landmark is the beating heart of Lisbon, Commerical Plaza, aka the Terreiro do Paco. For hundreds of years, this is where ships arrived from India, China and other parts of Asia, bringing exotic treasures and spices for Europeans. Still a popular meeting spot for locals and travelers, this is one of the biggest plazas in Europe. We learn about the Great Earthquake, the Reconstruction, and who the man is on the horse. A perfect ending point to continue your Lisbon holiday.
