What to expect
Bondi Beach
We explore Bondi Beach by taking a walk along the promenade and then make our way along the popular coastal pathway to the nearby picturesque beaches of Tamarama and Bronte. Along the way we will walk past the Bondi Icebergs, an Olympic size ocean pool. The pool is used for all year round, and functions as a swimming club for the brave in Winter. There are great views of these beaches when we hit the Tamarama side of the track. Tamarama is a beautiful small beach with a large rock platform on its north side and adjoining Bronte beach has a very pretty and popular rockpool and salt water swimming pool. Next leg is a drive to Clovelly and Coogee beaches where we will do a second walk which allows us to sample more spectacular coastal scenery, including Wedding Cake Island and Gordons Bay. If the conditions are right the bombora at Gordons Bay may be breaking with a handful of surfers enjoying the waves. If you are interested there are plenty of safe places to swim or snorkel.
Gap Park
This area of coastline displays a large drop to the seabed below. The cliffs and walkway provide a good vantage people to see the rugged nature of a sandstone environment. We will also take a short visit to Australia's oldest fishing village, scenic Watsons Bay.
Paddington Reservoir Gardens
Enjoy a short walk around Paddington to enjoy the architecture of some grand terrace homes, quaint streets, designer shops and the serenity of Paddington garden reservoir.Lunch at a cafe or restaurant in Paddington or East Sydney – options to be discussed on the day.
El Alamein Memorial Fountain
Darlinghurst and Potts Point short driving tour discussing places of historical and cultural interest with some short stops
Barangaroo Reserve
At Barangaroo Reserve we will see Sydney's new harbour foreshore playground, discuss its construction and enjoy its landscaping and greenery. If you have previously been to Barangaroo we can adjust the itinerary to include other places that you may not have seen in the inner city. Everything is flexible on a Sydney Nimble Tour.
