Your Itinerary

Brick Lane

One of the East End's most famous streets. Brick Lane is the epi centre of London's south Asian community. Famous as the place to go for curries and other South Asian delicacies. The street has a fascinating past and is now home to London's hip and trendy.

The Old Truman Brewery

At one time one of the largest breweries in the world and now home to a weekend market. Steeped in history and a centre point for many of the area's stories.

Old Spitalfields Market

One of London's most famous and popular food markets. Quality local produce is used alongside ingredients from around the world. Nowhere is the melting pot of London more represented in food form.

Shoreditch

Once a slum of London, Shoreditch is now the home of the hipster. Some of the best bars and restaurants are found here and it's an area full of history and constantly evolving culture.

Whitechapel

Jack the Ripper's old hunting ground is a bit safer these days. We'll take a wander through the streets and learn about the stunning townhouses that line both sides. It's easy to feel like you're on the set of a Dickensian film.

My daughter and I had a great time on the Borough Market Tour with Gary as our Guide. The food was fantastic and we really enjoyed all the historical information and trip along the river to see the Globe Theatre! Of course the food was fantastic and the highlight! We had lots of great options, and appreciated Gary acommmodating the pescatarian at the last minute! I especially enjoyed the sausage role from the Ginger Pig, and my daughter loved the Calamari! We highly recommend this tour!

Excellent food tour! We went on this back in January hoping to find out a bit more about the food and culture of the East End and Brick Lane. We had Trevellyan as our host and he was really informative and interesting showing that he knew the area really well and sharing stories and anecdotes. The food was excellent (especially the salt beef beigle) - too much for us to manage and we've got pretty healthy appetites, and rounded off with a lovely pint of porter at the end. A very enjoyable afternoon. Thanks Trevellyan!

Entertaining, informative and great choice of food. Just enough walking and kept it interesting despite the cold. Lots of historical details, a truly fascinating tour

Trevelyan, our tour guide, was excellent. He combined interesting knowledge of the area with humour and was sensitive to the fact it was a boiling hot day. Great variety of food, the tour brought the area alive - we learnt so much. Highly recommended.

This was an amazing experience. Sophia is a wonderful guide, mixing history with food. We had a wide range of different types of food and she made it interesting for my teenagers too. We were both tired and incredibly full by the end! Highly recommended.

Wonderful day celebrating our anniversary with a food tour around Shoreditch, extremely knowledgeable tour guide who gave us so much interesting information about the history of culture from the area and each stop had something delicious to eat and drink. Particularly enjoyed trying foods we wouldn't of normally, won't spoil for anyone wanting to book the tour, but our guide took the time to check about allergies and anything we couldn't eat or didn't like. The establishment owners were friendly and informative and clearly passionate about their produce. All in all time well spent enjoying delicious food and meandering around a vibrant and fascinating part of the city, well worth it! Thank you Trevellion and London Food Tours!
