Some may think it macarbe, but touring a cemetry in a town where you're staying is the best way to get the history of the area. Wondering about the lives of folks born in the 1800's; the traditions and culture of a time gone by. Tour guide, Lori, lead a marvellous tour tonight of the Broadway Cemetry in Galveston, TX; under a rising full moon and a fast setting sun. She was so knowledgable about the site, bringing to colorful life the stories of the folks laid to rest here; and eager to share the history of ealry Galveston and to further recommend what more to see. Highly reommend this tour and this guide ~ an experience well done.
