First, I want to say that the guide was fantastic. A young guy with steep knowledge of Edinburgh and a lot of other things and was very informative. Probably one of the best we had in Scotland while we were there. The issue was that we understood to be a tour heavily influenced by Whisky and it's history. We learned that this was not the case until the tour started. We had a whisky tasting at the end as promised, but the guide admitted he was not a whisky expert by any means and did not really have the ability to go into a lot of detail here. I would not reccomend this for anyone wanting to prioritize whisky as the experience as I did.

Really nice tour guides. Very informative but not what I expected. Unfortunately, not much of a whiskey tour. 3 Whiskey tastings provide at the end of the 2 hour walking tour with no whiskey details or information. A bit overpriced for only 3 tastings after all that walking.

Manon showed up things in Edinburgh that we had walked past and never even knew the significance of! What a delight she was and how brilliant it this tour. We walked the Old Town and ended up at the Tollbooth Hotel which was on my MUST SEE list anyway. The whiskey tasting was very interesting and we loved the hotel so much, we stayed on for dinner. A fabulous way to spend a couple of hours away from the tour buses and see the authentic town.
