Our tour guide was/is an interesting walking encyclopedia. Super interesting tour. And he easily guided the 3 of us (not known to each other) around from train to bus, Also helped us get to our next tour(s). Learned so much more on this walking tour than just facts about the wall. Highly recommend.

Our tour guid was hilarious, plenty of “dad” jokes locked and loaded. He was great at making eveyone feel comfortable.

I don’t think there was any detail or historical point that our guide did not know. He gave us a fantastic tour and complete background. We started at Brandenburg Gate, discussed the Reichstag building, the situation during the era right after the war and then under East. German control. We traveled by U to the wall memorial area and saw just how much tine, effort, resources had to go into the “wall” to insure no one escaped. The reality was clear and horrifying. We visited the Jewish memorial and Check point Charlie also. Quite a worthwhile tour.

There were only thee of us (two no shows) so almost a private tour. Our guide was amazingly knowledgeable about everything. He knows statistics and dates and great little sceneries and personal stories, He was so helpful to us when we finished and needed to get to another tour across town. We traveled across the area and he made the experience a treat. We’ve done many history tours and this was one of the best.

Steve Gibson was an excellent tour guide, giving us lots of information and interesting facts and stories about the wall, the wider Cold War, and about how people’s lives were impacted. We were a small group of just seven, which was very good. The three hours went by quickly and we would highly recommend the tour.

This was a great tour with Steve!! We went with Birchys on recommendation from my sister and are really pleased that we did. Our guide Steve is a native English speaker and has a huge amount of information to share about the history of the Berlin Wall and all that surrounded its creation and fall. There was not a single dull moment during our time with him and we learned a great deal. He was also a great source of recommendations for bars and restaurants and even checked our self created itinerary for the rest of our stay and made some good suggestions. Strongly recommended.

Great experience, knowledgeable guide. It was a lot of information and walking packed into 2.5 hours but worth it.

I was very happy with this tour, and in particular our guide Cairen. He was very enthusiastic, and had an exceptional knowledge of the history. He also had a good sense of humour that made the tour even more fun. When I return to Berlin, I will definitely take one of the other tours that he guides.
