    Lovey trip with lots of local knowledge. Alejandro was a fantastic guide. He was very knowledgeable and made the experience great.

    The guides were informative and knowledgeable. The issue we had with the tour is that we spent an hour (at the beginning of the tour) visiting a ‘shop’. We didn’t get to Toledo old town until 11:30 and had only 30 min tour before the guide handed us off to meet another guide at 12:40. We toured the Cathedral with the new guide (very good tour) and finished at 2:30. We took a coffee break then proceeded to Mezquita Cristo de la Luz & Iglesia de Santo Tomé. We only had time for a quick visit at each of these before we had to head back to meet the bus. Even though you have access to more monuments, you don’t have enough time and part of that time is wasted in the shop. The other issue we had is that our tickets don’t work well. We were given tickets with a QR code but one of the codes didn’t work and we were told we had to pay. However, we kept showing our paid tickets and eventually we were admitted. I recommend comfortable shoes as there are lots of hills and uneven stone streets. We enjoyed our day and most especially the guides and bus drivers, who saw us there safely.

    Beautiful place to visit and good mix of time with guided and exploring on our own. Adding the tour of the cathedral was worth it!

    Take care to fully understand what the tour includes - we expected narration on the bus ride down and guides to 3 sites. Neither of those occurred. This activity is good for the bus ride down and back but plan to tour mostly on your own,

    Alcazar de Toledo

    The Alcázar of Toledo is a stone fortification located in the highest part of Toledo, Spain. Once used as a Roman palace in the 3rd century, it was restored under Charles I (Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor) and his son Philip II of Spain in the 1540s. In 1521, Hernán Cortés was received by Charles I at the Alcázar, following Cortes' conquest of the Aztecs. Most of the alcázar was rebuilt, or restored, between 1939 and 1957 after the Siege of the Alcázar of the Spanish Civil War.

    The Primate Cathedral of Saint Mary of Toledo is a Roman Catholic church and it is the seat of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Toledo. The cathedral of Toledo is one of the three 13th-century High Gothic cathedrals in Spain and is considered, in the opinion of some authorities, to be the magnum opus of the Gothic style in Spain.

    Sinagoga de Santa María La Blanca

    The Synagogue of Santa María la Blanca, originally known as the Ibn Shushan Synagogue, or commonly the Congregational Synagogue of Toledo, is a museum and former synagogue. Erected in 1180, according to an inscription on a beam, it is disputably considered the oldest synagogue building in Europe still standing. It is now owned and preserved by the Catholic Church.
