The van diver (think Christian) was very friendly and took 1 route to Alhambra and a different back to Almeria to show us more of the area. His narration was very good. Once at Ahambra we had another guide who spent several hours with us in the palace. There were only 4 of us on this tour. The van could accommodate at least 12. We appreciated the fct that although the tour group was small, the agency did not cancel as another company did earlier in the cruise.

Our driver and guide Cristian was very nice and gave us lots of interesting information about the provinces of Almeria and Granada. Jenny, our tour guide at Alhambra Palaces, was excellent, she gave us lots of details and historical info. The mini bus was Comfortable and very punctual. We can highly recommend this tour.

I had a two day stop at Granada and everyone told me I had to visit the Al Alhambra. And i’m So glad I did! It’s a beautiful palace and maintained just as beautifully! Plan half a day to visit this palace. It’s huge with guided tours. Some spots in the fortress offers amazing views of the entire city! A must visit place if you’re in Spain.

This was a fantastic tour, we stopped in Granada for a couple of hours to look at the Cathederal and the shops, then off to The Alhambra and Generalife Gardens, the Palace and the gardens were magnificent, with fantastic views of the valley and mountains, our guide Guillermo and driver Miguel were great and very knowledgeable, a great day out.

Our driver and guide Christian was helpful, very professional on both trips. Super trips which are very planned. I would recommend to anyone to use this company for trips around southern spain.

It was worth a visit . But on reflection we would have liked more time in Grenada . The tour included a couple of hours free time in Grenada but it’s a big city which I am sure a couple if days would be needed to see it all . The palace was good but be warned there is a lot of walking needed as it is so vast . It’s not ideal for people not so good on their feet . I was slightly disappointed there was no furniture or ceramics or any kind of artefacts from the period . But I guess they where destroyed or maybe in a museum. The tour was expensive at 72 euros each . When the price of entry to the palace was only 15 euros on the ticket . So we paid 57 euros each for the two hours in Grenada and the bus from our hotel . Plus I guess the knowledge of the guide .

I booked this through their website. Everyone over 12 has to pay full price. We were a party of 4 staying in Roquestas del Mar. Our holiday was with TUI and their website suggested they didn't do this tour. Turned out when we arrived that they did ('new' and very slightly more expensive) but only on the sames days as Pepe (so would it have been via Pepe tours anyway?) We booked to go Friday, 2 days into our holiday, but got a call 2 days before saying it was no longer available and luckily we were able to changed it to Monday (our last full day of holiday, so this wasn't ideal, but we wanted to go). Pepe tours are based in Roquetas I think and we were picked up at 7:50am. Just one more pick up locally then off. So a big coach with maybe 15 clients. You could leave bags on the coach - which was useful. Guillermo was very nice and explained everything. 30 minutes in we had a 30 minute coffee break in Calahonda - not sure quite why this was needed. Then we drove to Granada - maybe another 2 hour to get about 11? Guillermo told us about the area and the history and the agriculture (plastic sea). I wasn't expecting this so it was fantastic and very informative and entertaining. At Granada, we walked not too far around a few key sites for about half and hour (eg Cathedral, Old silk market, churches) with Guillermo guiding us and telling us interesting facts and history. We then had an hour and a half to walk around and eat. We shopped for 15 mins or so (could of done without the early stop and a bit longer) then ate at one of the restaurants that Guillermo recommended (10% discount) which was all very nice food but takes a while (spanish time!). Maybe we could have just snacked. So then a short drive to the Alhambra where we met up with a local guide (Guillermo went off) and our party became a bit bigger, no problems. We got headphone things linked directly to our guide. This was great and our guide told us lots about everything whilst we could still hear and walk around with a bit more freedom. There were lots of toilet stops and time to take photos etc. The Alhambra (with various palaces) and Generalife are fascinating and stunning and a must for history fans. Don't forget your passport - we did get checked a couple of times. You can take picture and photos in most places. So the tour lasted maybe 2 and 1/2 hours. We then met back up with Guillermo and the coach and drove straight back to Roquetas, maybe 2 hours, with some talking from Guillermo but then mainly music. To summarise, if you haven't been to Alhambra then I would definitely recommend it. But you want a bit more time in Granada or the Alhambra then I guess you have to try a different option. And hopefully Pepe tours wont cancel on you. But... it was a good experience in the end and Guillermo and Pepe tours were great, friendly and very informative so thank you.

Visited on 2nd March 2018. We had a guided tour of the Palace and gardens, booked through an agency in Nerja. The guide was very knowledgeable and led the party round at a pace to cater for the more senior visitors. The Palace is amazing and so is it's history and there are some fantastic views across the countryside from the Palace. The only down-point, half way, at a "coffee" stop, the drinks are from one vending machine inside a small "souvenir" shop. Overall, well worth a visit.

A great trip. We were picked up on time at our ship and driven to Alhambra. The trip was beautiful. We stopped just enough to break up the 2 1/2 hour trip. Alhambra is well worth it. The guide was filled with great information. At Alhambra we were turned over to a local tour guide who was waiting for us. We were back at the ship in plenty of time. Our group of four was very happy.

My wife and I are very keen gardeners. So when we saw Monty Don on Gardeners World @ the Alhambra Palace and gardens, we were hoping to go and see it for ourselves. We were staying in Nerja for a week and attended the welcome meeting with the TUI (Thomson) representative. Sure enough TUI were advertising a guided trip to Granada and the Alhambra Palace. Despite it being expensive at 82 euros pp, we knew it was going to be great as we had already see Monty's presentation. There are 3 points to note at this point: 1) The pick up time from our hotel was at 2.30m. 2) TUI no longer provide any sort of meal or drink. None at all. 3) Visitors to the Alhambra Palace are not allowed to eat anything. Only bottled water is allowed to be taken in. All bags are checked at the entrance. So, we were duly picked up at 2,30pm. We had assumed that the Alhambra Palace would be our 1st stop and then a guided tour of Granada city as this was included in the spec Sadly not, this was afternoon trip to Granada (in the daylight) and an evening tour of the Alhambra Palace (basically in the dark). By the time our coach picked us up from Granada it was 7pm. By the time you reach the palace it's dark. Yes, the trip was Alhambra Palace by night. The trip was sold to us on the basis that the entire area is lit up, so to our complete disappointment we were shocked to find only the pathways and buildings were lit up. None of the gardens. We were guided by an English speaking guide but the gardens were never intended to be included in the tour!!! So for £160 we saw buildings only! A huge disappointment. The Alhambra Palace itself is beautiful but very crowded even at night. During our holiday we cam across an independent tour operator that do trips from Nerja to the Palace only, during the daylight for £45pp. You won't get a guide but you will get to see the entire Alhambra Palace and gardens. We picked the wrong tour. Don't make the same mistake as we did
