    Fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable driver who was passionate about his country and its history. Driver of the boat was equally knowledgeable and provided great commentary.

    Highly recommend this tour, UNLESS you have back or neck problems. In that case, just be aware: the Zodiac-style watercraft is driven speedily through significant waves for quite a distance, and passengers, particularly near the front, are slammed up and down quite a bit. I didn't mind this at all, in fact I enjoyed it, until one particularly swift, heavy slam-down jarred my neck and it felt a lot like whiplash. It hurt for a few days, and I worried the damage might be longer-lasting. It doesn't seem to be, although I still feel it from time to time. (Pro tip: Sit near the back if you want to be sure this doesn't happen to you. You won't have as good a view, but you'll be safer.) In other news, the caves are gorgeous and the crystal clear water is a spectacular blue-green. There are two stops for swimming (snorkeling if you have your own gear)--though the water was pretty cool, and there didn't seem to be any of the advertised "googles" available, LOL. We four didn't go in, though others did, and I somewhat envied them. Our van driver was friendly, didn't speak much English, but was happy to take the extra time to share a tuna fish lunch with us at the little beachside restaurant on our return from the boat ride. We were picked up at our cruise dock in Cagliari promptly, and returned there well in time to get back on board. It was just us four in the van, which was nice. Since there weren't any tours quite like this offered by our ship, we were very happy to find this one, and at a fraction of the cost of the (much shorter) ship tours.

    Hop off your cruise ship in Cagliari for an excellent boat tour. Our driver will be waiting to pick you up at the Port of Cagliari parking lot, to move towards the south-west Sardinia.

    Masua

    Once we reach the beach of Masua, you will meet your English guide on the boat. Relax and enjoy this fantastic 2 hours boat tour to visit the west coast; you will discover many caves on the way, admire the Sardinian Sugar Loaf and also snorkeling in amazing crystal water. In luck days it's possible to enjoy the dolphins all the way, be in touch with them than on it's a natural habitat. Visit gorgeous beaches, and secret places only reach by boat. Admiring the massive rock of Sugar Loaf at sunset makes the sunlight even more incredible as, in every shade of yellow and orange, it outlines the shape of the limestone rock. You will be able to reach the natural monument symbolizing Masua, a coastal district of Iglesias. The impressive, white, calcareous cliffs that surround the beaches make it feel like you're in the corner of paradise, where uncontaminated nature rules. The seabed is low and sandy, with a few rocks out to sea near the promontories.
