On our fourth visit to Siena and without a car we wanted to explore the beautiful Tuscan region as easily as possible. Tuscan Escapes was a great find. Our guide Kiko was very experienced, efficient and managed to bring our group of 8 together over the wine tasting and dinner as if we were old friends. A comfortable mini-bus took us first to Monteriggioni then on to San Gimignano-the gelato really was excellent- and then taste local wines at a small family-run winery in the hills of San Gimignano. A stunning location, an excellent discussion about wines, Italian history and more followed before dinner in a private home. A beautiful 4 course meal, accompanied by more wine and a safe return to Siena by 11pm. Could not recommend this tour more highly and full credit to Kiko and Tuscan Escapes for providing a real Italian experience.

This was an amazing tour! Our guide, Juliana was so knowledgeable about the history of the area and especially the wine. She was very personable and the entire group really appreciated her. San Gimignano was a wonderful little town with great history. Juliana stopped at the ideal place to capture a picture of the city skyline. The wine tasting was wonderful. Filipe was the winemaker and was very passionate about the wine they were making. The fact that they mix 9 grapes for their Chianti was impressive but when he explained how they shade the grapes by hand to ensure they all ripen at the ripe time you could see his passion for the craft. Our Italy trip ranged from Venice to Rome but Siena and especially this tour was the highlight of our trip.

We really enjoyed Tuscan Escapes' Sunset trip from Siena. We became part of a fun group of eight from Alabama, California, and Iowa. The wine tasting was delightful and it was so nice visiting San Gimignano later in the day. The dinner in Chianti, at a farmhouse/winery, was delicious. Our trip was made even better by our oustanding guide, Mattia. He is very knowledgeable about wine, humorous and informative. We highly recommend this tour!

Absolutely stunning views! Amazing wines, olive oils and fabulous food. Highly recommended tour. Our group consisted of 8 people which made the experience even more enjoyable and personal.

Our tour guide, Guglielmo (aka, William, Bill, Billy, Will) was bravissimo! He really takes pride in his work and to communicate in English. We were so impressed with his knowledge of the region, the wines and so many other topics he made this a phenomenal excursion. We shared the van with two couples traveling a month in Italy and another younger couple. The eight of us had so much fun and Guglielmo was the center of it. Our two stops at Terre di Sovernaja owned by Federico Montagnani and Montemorli run by 3 brothers, Carlo, Vittorio and Guido were great. The wines were great and the Pizza Night at Montemorli at a farm-to-table outdoor setting was the best dinner. The pizza was cooked in a wood fire oven with several different toppings. I was so stuffed and wanted to eat more. A great great experience overall.

Our guide, Guillermo, was so knowledgeable and fun to interact with that our time just flew by. The private wine tasting was excellent as well as the sunset farm dinner later. Being able to meet the owners of these small businesses and hear about their livelihoods really makes one appreciate the hard work that goes into producing quality products. San Gimignano was a delight to walk around. We had plenty of time on our stops to explore and it was nice to let someone else do the driving and navigating! Well worth the money!!

We were picked up on time at the location outside the Basilica Cateriniana San Domenico in a very comfortable minivan with a total of 6 passengers on our sunset trip. Georga was our wonderful guide for the afternoon/evening. She was very informative, upbeat and a great driver. The tour was well paced with stops at viewpoints of the beautiful Tuscan countryside as well as visits to the towns of San Gimignano & Monteriggioni. We had a wine tasting at small, family run organic winery that also produced Olive Oil and Saffron. Dinner was at a great little family farm and was delicious, made with local ingredients! Highly recommend this tour with Tuscan Escapes.

I was disappointed in the trip. The tour guide, William, did the best he could. He made a special stop so we could all get good pictures of San Gimiginano. The dinner at the end was billed as a dinner on a farm. It should have been billed as dinner in a restaurant that is on a farm. Two different atmospheres. One more intimate and the other more ordinary. The restaurant was full, including a noisy party in the banquet room next to our table. The restaurant wouldn't close the doors at first which made having a conversation very difficult. The wine tasting was done in a small setting and was very nice.

Our tour guide (Jecko?) was amazing as was our small group tour!! The short stop was just long enough to get a good flavor of San Gimignano and fry a gelato fix, then on to the family owned winery tour which was exceptional! Lots of wines to taste with great stories connected with wine names etc. great cheeses, meats and breads to accompany the tastings. Lovely family! On to the sunset dinner at a wonderful “farm” out in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. This was the most amazingly delicious farm to table food and 5 courses we’ve ever had! Fresh fava beans to start ( with a nice Chianti!) and many wines to try with each course. Best tour of our trip. We started and ended in Siena and returned rather late ( 10:30) and walked the streets a mile and a half back to our villa, but felt quite safe and good to walk off full stomach. No taxis that we saw so just headed back using Google maps! Highlight of our first trip to Italy!
