Good tour, good guide. A little confusion about redemption of tout voucher. The instructions said we have to redeem the voucher at the bus station prior to departure. But when we got there, the ticket office told us to go to SAT agency. Then at SAT agency, we were told there was no need to redeem anything because their records showed that we have paid, so the voucher was “the tour ticket”

Our Tour Guide Renata waa very knowledgeable and kept us informed ( in 3 languages) on the way to both of The archaeological sites . Valley of the Temples waa amazing but at the end there was almost no opportunity to buy a small souvenir as We were rushed into the bus and taken to a small pre-booked restaurant (So no choice and with only 1 toilet for such a large group. Add into your trip 20€ for Lunch & 24€ in entrance fees per person. The bus & driver were also very good. Overall it was a good, but long day. (13hours)

I'd read the reviews before booking this trip. Yes it's a long day, yes the guide speaks more than one language, yes lunch was at a restaurant that might not have been my first choice BUT so what?! It's a fabulous trip - the drive across the island is a treat. The temple remains are incredible to look at (I hope you don't have a miserable traveller, like I did, who moaned about being bored all day). Lunch was actually very good - food was fairly cheap, hot and more than sufficient. The Villa Romana blew my mind. Ignore all the negative reviews and book this trip - you won't regret it!

Too much driving and not enough time at each location! Also, Taormina is too far to make this tour to Agrigento and September is too hot in Sicily.

Valley of the Temples 10 pts Wonderful Guide Villa Romana 5 pts However it was a long ride from Taormina. The bus was air conditioned, but the seats too small and uncomfortable for my 6”1” frame, especially when the rider in front moved their seat back. Also by the time we arrived at the villa I was dog tired. Also the bathrooms adjacent to the Villa in the white building/restaurant/bar were absolutely filthy with broken seats and no paper.

The visits to the temples and Villa were exactly as I expected. Although it was a fairly hot day, our guide at the Valley of Temples were extremely polite and considerate, helping us to find as many shady areas as possible. I had waited over 2 years for this experience and I was not disappointed. The only minus was the attitude of the guide as there was a problem with my booking. I was told it had been cancelled. I definitely had not cancelled this visit and the guide approached me in the middle of the bus within the earshot of all on board to say my tour was cancelled. I argued with her and she checked and returned to me three times which was very embarrassing. She asked me to pay 60 euros which I did not have. Said I would pay after the trip. Fortunately for me a very kind lady in the seat in front offered to pay this amount for me. The guide then left me alone. On the plus side the guide was very informative and knowledgeable and her language ability was excellent. Additionally, the trip was advertised as 8 hours. By the time I returned to my hotel the tour turned to last for 13 hours which is a very long day. It would be a better idea if the company adjusted this to a more realistic time of 12 hours. As I have a great interest in Greek/Roman history this trip was a dream come true. I absolutely adored everything I experienced. It is definitely worth a visit but don't expect a short day.

Marcello is a great guide and completely refreshed our memories of the movie. The villagers are beautiful.

The early start to the day was well worth it to experience this tour. The valley of the temples is great to see. The tour guide Renata was great, friendly and she shared lots of details about the temples and surrounding areas. Seeing the mosaics at Villa Romana del Casale was amazing. You were able to view all the rooms easily, it was really quiet with people spread out. Even had time to enjoy some granita before the return trip. Comfortable coach for travelling, even when stuck in traffic. Definitely recommend this trip.

The overall trip was brilliant. Perfect weather helped, but the sites were amazing, the valley of the temples especially. The Roman villa was incredible, though a little crowded at times, but what you could see was amazing. Our guide was very nolegable, speaking first to our German colleagues before recounting information to the English tourists. The time to see each site was somewhat short, but you do travel a great deal, the meal after the villa does help keep spirits up though. Overall a joyous experience, though not something for those who aren't prepared to be trounced round a significant area of land.

A very informative guide, paid for a great lunch, Amerina was so good to see the mosaics and the temples were interesting.
