    Great hike, very knowledgeable guide, please make sure you are in good shape as this is lots of steep up hill walking

    Greatly enjoyed the hiking tour . Nadia took us up to castle of Vezio and gave us hx of the region. It a full uphill climb on uneven grounds ( cobblestones), so wear appropriate footwear. We stopped off at many little churches along the way. Bring water. Had lunch on the way down but that is optional. We then visited the beautiful little Fiumelatte to cool off. That is a hike also. And finally ended the day with a tour of the beautiful Villa Monastero. Wear appropriate hiking shoes.Bring suntan lotion because there are many sunny areas. You will hike through cobblestones, gravel, tree groves, etc Nadia is a local and her english is great and gives us a history of the region. You can feel her love of this area. Its a great hike with great company. Loved it!

    Our guide Nadia was very knowledgeable and shared so many great stories and information about what we were seeing . Our group was very friendly with each other and it was the highlight of our visit to Varenna. It was also a great workout and challenged me but not too much!

    Nadia was a wonderful guide. We learned so much on the history of Lake Como and its inhabitants over the centuries. She took us on fun trails to the Castello di Vezio. Visited many small churches and gave us its hx. Then to the fliumelatte . We would never have found the trail without her. Finally hiked down to the beautiful Villa Monastero. It was fun, and we learned so much. The views was like from a movie. Hiking shoes prob recommended and some may need hiking poles. There is significant uphill hike and then downhill hike w uneven grounds. Total time about 6-7 hours. Entrance fees we pay ourself as well as lunch. Lunch was very pleasant at Castello DI Vezio. Definitely recommend this.

    We had an excellent guided hike around Varenna. Nadia was extremely knowledgeable and we learnt a lot about the history of the surrounding area. It was also great to get away from the busier part of town. We would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Varenna. The terrain is quite steep so you will need a relatively good fitness level.

    The Castle of Vezio shows us a breathtaking scenery of the central part of the Lake, watching Bellagio, Menaggio and Tremezzo. Immersed in a century-old olive grove, the castle tells us stories about its ancient origins. It's believed that the castle is visited by Queen Teodolinda, whose ghost sometimes appears...

    Sorgente Fiumelatte

    Fiumelatte, better known as the shortest river in Italy, springs from a cave in the rock that has had illustrious explorers: Leonardo Da Vinci was one of the first. When active, the river flows into the lake in a beautiful cascade of white foam.
