What to expect
Port Vauban
We join the trip at the internationaly renown Port Vauban which is a French yachting harbor located in Antibes on the French Riviera. Originally a natural harbor in use since before the Roman Empire, the port was fortified by Sébastien Le Prestre, Seigneur de Vauban, later Marquis de Vauban, King Louis XIV's military engineer
Fort Carre
Leaving the Port Vauban Harbour we will see The Fort Carré which is a 16th-century star-shaped fort of four arrow-head shaped bastions, that stands on the outskirts of Antibes. Henri de Mandon built the fort and then during the 17th century, the Marquis de Vauban redeveloped it.
Villa Eilenroc
As we travel South West we will see the Villa Eilenroc at the tip of Cap d'Antibes. This exceptional residence symbolizes the luxury and voluptuousness of the Belle Epoque. It was built in 1867 following plans by Charles Garnier, the architect of the Paris and Monte Carlo opera houses. The park surrounding the villa is planted with traditional species of the Mediterranean landscape. At the heart of this conservation area, a public rose garden offers the fragrances and essence
Juan les Pins Main Beach
As we move on around the coast we come to the beaches of Juan les Pins. Nearly the entire coast of Juan-les-Pins is fringed by sandy beaches that run from the Port Gallice in the east to the edge of Vallauris-Golf Juan in the west.
Iles de Lerins
We stop for a while at the magnificent Ile de Lerins allowing time for guests to either disembark and explore the islands on foot, and maybe picnic, or for them to swim in the warm and snorkel in the warm, crystal clear sea. Situated in an unspoilt, natural setting, these Mediterranean beauty spots offer visitors a unique combination of flora and fauna, as well as an unusual history that includes the mysteries of the Man in the Iron Mask and the tranquility of Cistercian monks.
Musee Picasso
On our way back to the harbour we pass the amazing Musee Picasso. The Musée Picasso, formerly the Château Grimaldi at Antibes, is built upon the foundations of the ancient Greek town of Antipolis.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
