Cetara
(Pass by)
In less than 6 km you reach the second stage of the itinerary, Cetara, a small fishing village, famous above all for the precious and exquisite production of anchovy sauce, an amber-colored liquid sauce, obtained by putting anchovies in salt and pressed in barrels. A long and delicate process that requires five to six months and which justifies the price, it must be said, very salty. In any case, it is not easy to find the original (and not watered down) product, but the taste of spaghetti seasoned with colatura is a real pleasure for the palate.
Maiori
(Pass by)
Just over 9.5 km and you arrive in Maiori, popular due to the size of the beaches, quite rare along the coast
Minori
(Pass by)
A kilometer after maiori we are in Minori where a stop becomes delicious and obligatory at the historic Sal De Riso pastry shop, overlooking the seafront, in Piazza Cantilena.
Atrani
(Pass by)
Just 6 kilometers away, isolated from traffic, is this tiny medieval fishing village, one of the most beautiful in Italy. Worth a visit for the beauty of its inhabited centre, with covered paths, courtyards, "stairways" and overpasses, with houses with flowered balconies which, from the beach, climb along the rocky slopes of the hill to gather around the square. It is worth going up to the terrace of the Collegiata di S.M. Maddalena from which you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Gulf of Salerno.
Ravello
(Pass by)
From Atrani you climb inland along 7.5 kilometers of curves. The high and strategic position of Ravello offers, according to many, the most beautiful panorama in Italy, the one that can be enjoyed from the end of the garden of Villa Cimbrone, the Terrace of Infinity, built in the most protruding point of the town. A tip: it's worth having a coffee in the little bar next to the belvedere, sitting on the tiny balcony from which you can admire the beauty of so much panorama in solitude. The other visit not to be missed is the one to Villa Rufolo with suggestive environments of clear Islamic influence.
Amalfi
(Pass by)
Noble, illustrious, rich, opulent, it was the first of the maritime republics and still unmissable for its seafront, one of the most evocative of the coast, and for the Cathedral, symbol of the town, with the imposing staircase and its Cloister of Paradise. Walking along via dei Mercanti, you can stop for a fried seafood washed down with a glass of wine
Conca dei Marini
(Pass by)
Leaving the deviation for Agérola on the right, after 7 kilometers you come to Conca dei Marini with the Grotta dello Smeraldo. It can also be visited from the road, going down 35 steps and then taking an elevator, or walking down to the end and then back up by elevator. It owes its name to the color of the light reflected in the water between the rocks.
Fiordo di Furore
(Pass by)
Continuing towards Praiano, the fjord of Furore deserves a stop of at least one or two hours to admire the spectacular fissure in the rock and the handful of partly renovated houses: here is also the one inhabited by Anna Magnani, today transformed into a museum, in the period (1948) of her stormy love affair with Roberto Rossellini.
Praiano
(Pass by)
About ten kilometers and you arrive in Praiano with the enchanting little bay of Marina di Praia. The short walk carved into the rock with small corners where you can sunbathe, swim, stop for a lunch or dinner sitting at the tables set above the rocks is suggestive and all along the sea.
Positano
(Pass by)
A little less than ten kilometers away are the clustered houses of Positano, clinging to the rock and with flowered terraces. The village must be visited by walking slowly through the narrow alleys, along the stairways protected by the white walls of the houses, interrupted by gardens and cascades of bougainvilleas and lemon pergolas.
