Guide was just great…great introduction to Porto…just 6 of us. We were in front of church pillars at 9:40 for 10 pm start. Didn’t find guide. Left. Guide called 10 minutes later and went back. 2 other couples found him. Not sure went wrong.

The guide was extremely informative, helpful and friendly. We covered a lot of territory and with very few exceptions found it easily walkable.

Our guide Mia was amazing and provided us with a wealth of information that really helped us to find our feet, and make the most of the short time we had in Porto - highly recommended!

Mariana, the tour leader, was perfect. She is a local with an infectious love for Porto. She took us through lovely streets and to great places that we would have missed on our own. And gave us both an entertaining and a very informative tour. Her English is very good and she has a pleasant and clear voice making her easy to hear and understand. She had obviously planned routes involving less hilly routes than she could have. We came away from our three hr trip with a love of Porto and a desire to come back, and, based on Mariana, a love of the people of Portugal. Porto is hilly. I’m not an overfit 71 yr old, but I was able to keep up. Highly recommend.

Pedro was excellent. Knowledgeable, enthusiastic, witty and fiercely proud of his city and Portugal. Having spent time in Porto we understand why.

This walking tour is a very good way to know Porto. Our tour guide was very good and had great knowledge about the places we visited. She was very friendly and caring. There was a little misunderstanding in the beginning about the meeting point, but the tour organizer solved it perfectly.

Tour Guide Mia was very friendly and very informative. She made sure every one in our group of 13 or so understood her narrative and seemed passionate about sharing her knowledge of her home city. The city is very noisy and busy but she was patient and guided us very well.

Our guide was from Porto and his knowledge and passion for his city shone through. It was a nice small group of 6 so we could all hear and see everything being pointed out. We learned not just about Porto but also the history of Portugal, the food, music, and all sorts. Very unscripted and entertaining. We saw lots of other tours going on - big groups with ear pieces, groups on segways, in tuc tucs and we are in no doubt we made the right decision to go with our tour. We would thoroughly recommend it.

We just did the 3 hour walking tour of Porto with Ricardo earlier today and it was phenomenal, highly recommended and worth every penny. It was an excellent way to start the day (we did the 10am tour) before the crowds get too heavy, the weather is cool and Ricardo gives you a beautiful lay of the land from a very keen and well-educated yet personal and heartfelt perspective. From there you can choose which of the key destinations you want to pursue yourself - he gives you practical tips from hip bars and restaurants to fado shows to panoramic viewpoints. His impassioned delivery of legendary stories and historical averview gives you a sense of the soul and character of Porto as well as his pride for his home. Around every corner, along every cobblestone street, every religious and political monument, there is as story, a struggle and a triumph to be discovered and told. Thank you, Ricardo.
