    Miguel was a good guide; he shared some interesting facts and legends about the city itself, fado, and the origins of fado. The viewpoints were good, too. The tempo of the walking tour was well paced, and he was talking with some people from our group. So he was helpful and friendly. The issue though, the food was mediocre at the restaurant. The performers were good but the restaurant was cramped. The overall experience about food and fado was mediocre at best.

    Miguel was a fantastic guide, the tour was full of interesting facts, fantastic views and topped off with a great dinner and Fado entertainment whilst we ate. 100% worth the money and will be using this tour again x Obrigada Miguel

    The reviews we had previously read were basically true - The walking tour was very informative, and we visited a beautiful spot to take photos of the city. However, we arrived to the restaurant and were basically rushed. We heard exactly 20 minutes of music and didn't have time to eat our dessert and we had to leave. Just not enough time. They should add at least 45 minutes to this event. We would have liked to stay and enjoy dessert and a drink and listen to music for at least another hour.

    I loved this tour! Beautiful view points & Miguel was a great guide. He was funny, knew a lot & happily answered questions/provided reccomandations when asked about things to do. Awesome knowledge about music too. The musicians were passionate and lovely - the food at the restaurant was not my favorite. The green wine was nice to try. Tip : wear comfy shoes to get up the stairs and for cobble stone streets. The route we took back was a lot flatter/more accessible.

    I had i very nice tour guide Miguel who introduced me to Alfama and the beautiful original Fado music. Miguel knows all the ins en outs of Lisbon en he speaks witg a lot of passion!

    Miradouro de Santa Luzia

    We will start our Fado tour by wandering through the alleys and windy streets of old Lisbon on a small walking tour through Mouraria and Alfama, where you can get to know the working class neighborhoods and streets where Fado was born. Our guide will explain to you the history and the cultural importance of Fado, and how it shaped mentalities in Portugal and the portuguese own sense of identity.

    Alfama

    We'll end the tour at a traditional Fado house where we'll listen to the heartfelt melodies of Fado. Lose yourself in the atmosphere and mood of this typical Portuguese music genre played by the Portuguese guitar and characterized by mournful, heartbreaking lyrics. While you enjoy the music, we will also provide you with a typical Portuguese dinner. Homemade food, portuguese wine, and an amazing environment are the keys to any good Portuguese evening.
