The "most" enjoyable experience of our whole European vacation. Life changing experience that should not be missed. I am grateful that I chose a private tour, nothing like it. We had such an emotional feeling come over up upon visiting the home of Saint Jacinta and Saint Francisco. Please do yourself a favor and get this tour. You won't be sorry, Nelson is a Fatima treasure.

We enjoyed an excellent tour of the holy sites of Fatima with Nelson - I give his tour the highest recommendation. Nelson picked us up in Lisbon and we had a very comfortable ride to Fatima, with Nelson providing a lot of background information on Fatima, and Portugal in general, on the drive. We visited the village sites including Francisco & Jacinta's home, the three sites of the appearance of the Angel of Peace, and the site of the fourth apparition of Mary. Nelson also took us to the Parish Church of Fatima - the "home parish" of Francisco, Jacinta and Lucia. I highly encourage including these sites as part of your tour as Nelson gives a lot of great background information on life in the village -- and the visit to the Sanctuary was more meaningful having seen the other sites which really give a picture as to life in the Village over 100 years ago. Finally, Nelson guided us through the Sanctuary, which included the two Baslicas, the Chapel of the Apparitions, and the square. It was an incredible experience and an absolute highlight of our trip to Portugal.

My wife and I have traveled extensively and done dozens of these type of tours. This was without question the best tour we’ve ever had! We did ( and would highly recommend) the 4 hour tour as it really gives you the full Fatima story and experience. Nelson, our guide, is from the area and his detailed knowledge makes a wonderful tour even better as you feel you are living the experience as you visit the houses of the 3 children, the apparition sites and then the main square and cathedral. Again, I can’t recommend this highly enough!!!

What a wonderful experience my husband and I had with Nelson as our guide! We loved every minute of our tour from our pick up to drop off at our hotel. The pre tour communication was terrific! Nelson answered our emails promptly. Considering the time difference, he was fast! Nelson knows his country and the love and knowledge he has for it is infectious! We made stops at Nazaré, Obidos and Fátima. All three were perfectly timed to miss the crowds as much as possible. Nelson is from the Fátima area so he knew right where to take us for lunch. Having lived many years in Australia, Nelson’s English is perfect and he is an excellent driver. We highly recommend this tour company and are sure you will love your experience!

This tour company is a MUST do for your visit to Fatima! Fatima Experience has the best tour guides! Nelson was absolutely fantastic! He was very knowledgeable, respectful, interesting and passionate! His ability to create the right mood for his tour is very impressive, I believe it's because he really cares and believes every little detail that he is providing us. I was so happy to see the devout attitude with which he spoke about all the happenings of the apparitions. My husband and I completely enjoyed each minute of the tour. We even asked him to provide us with an additional tour the following day of the Eucharistic Miracle of Santarem! He was very accommodating and absolutely delightful!

We were a group of 4 and having Nelson as our guide was a Blessing! He is personally knowledgeable and gave us so much history and details; I had been to Fatima with a large pilgrimage 17 years ago and I was surprised to learn more details I didn't know. He also was gracious to make sure we did what we wanted to do, such as attending Mass, working around our wants and needs. He personally picked an exceptional restaurant that served us an authentic Portugese meal in a family setting. Although it was raining, he made sure to have umbrellas ready for us and didn't hesitate to continue the tour with us. From the comfortable pick up in a beautiful vehicle at our Lisbon hotel to the drop off, we were so comfortable and happy with Nelson's personal attention and detail to our trip that we walked away feeling truly blessed! I wholeheartedly recommend Nelson if you want to get the full, spiritual experience of Fatima in one day.

We planned an afternoon with overnight stay in Fatima during our 8 days in Portugal. Wanted to make sure we saw the important sites in Fatima. What we got was so much more. As a Catholic I knew the miracle of Mary appearing to 3 children in Fatima. Nelson provided the whole story in a chronological order while visiting the sites. Very knowledgeable and very easy to understand. All the little things that would have been missed visiting on your own or with just a guidebook. Will definitely tell our friends. Thank you Nelson for a very memorable afternoon in Fatima. He also helped us find a local pharmacy and recommendations for dinner.

Prior to booking the Fatima Experience tour, I had picked three companies and contacted them to check their customer service. The first one responded me that the information was available at the webpage; the second contacted me enough times that it felt pushy, then Nelson from Fatima Experience, very politely responded with detailed information of the tour. On the day of the tour, he arrived in a spotless Mercedes Benz C class and drove my wife, my son and I for an hour and a half to Fatima from Lisbon. He told us his background, the tour schedule and what to expect from the tour. From the moment we arrived to Fatima, Nelson made every effort to make us feel comfortable and gave us useful details to understand the story of Fatima from beginning to end. The children, their families, the places they went, details of each apparition and we even attended mass. At the end of the day we could have not been happier, he drove us back to Lisbon and told us he too, had enjoyed the day with us. We had a fantastic overall experience and when you go to Portugal and intend to visit Portugal, book Nelson and your day will also be a perfect experience.

We weren’t too sure that visiting Fatima from Vilamoura was a good idea due to the distance involved, but this was the best decision we ever made! We were collected at 7am in a very comfortable vehicle, had a comfort stop on the way, and reached our destination by 11. Nelson is the most wonderful tour guide, his depth of knowledge is awesome, and he is a truly special person. He taught us the meaning of patience, we never felt under any pressure to rush at any stage, and we felt we gained the most amazing personal touch due to him being born and raised in Fatima. He made sure we missed nothing, all the while giving us so much insight and detail, and he was so mindful and considerate of our party, one of whom has mobility issues. There was always time to slow down or rest. We shared dinner with Nelson in a lovely little restaurant local to his home, where he is obviously known and well thought of. The entire day was a joy, we learned so much about the Children and their experiences, and we could not have had a better teacher. Nelson has such a love for, and belief of, Fatima and it’s meaning that it is inspirational. The cherry on our particular cake was catching Mass in English at Our Lady’s Chapel and receiving Communion and a Blessing. Thank you Nelson for your guidance and your company on our tour, we loved every minute.
