Begin the day by meeting a private guide at your hotel in Lisbon and boarding your private vehicle to Fátima (pick up at your hotel or vacation rental door-to-door if accessible by our vehicles)

Casa-Museu de Aljustrel

One of the most important religious pilgrimage sites in Europe, Fátima became famous in 1917 when three small children claimed to have seen a vision of the Virgin Mary there. We start our day doing all your religious and souvenir shopping in a quick stop at Fatima's shopping center so that you can have your objects blessed at mass in the Sanctuary. We will continue our drive to Aljustrel in order to visit the Little Sheppards’ Houses and places of the Angel’s 2nd Apparition

Valinhos Sanctuary

We will also visit Valinhos, where the Virgin appeared and Loca do Anjo – place of the Angel’s Apparitions. This is one of Fátima most sacred and peaceful places. If the weather and timing is good we will still walk up to the Plith of the Hunagrians doing some of the Stations of the Cross. By now we will have to check how our pilgrims are! Most likely and after all the walking, we will be heading for a very deserved lunch! Our restaurant selections always include cozy traditional local restaurants.

Basilica de Nossa Senhora do Rosario de Fatima

After lunch, we will continue to the Sanctuary. Occupying the area of the primitive land where the Virgin appeared to the children, today it is an organized structure for the reception of pilgrims from all over the world, visited by 4 Popes and graced with 4 Golden Roses. During weekdays from May to November, our pilgrims may attend the English Mass at the Chapel of Apparitions (alternative Masses and Locations will be available on the other dates/days but unlikely to be in English) at 3.30 PM.The Chapel of Apparitions and the Basilica of the Holy Trinity are different places of worship within in the Sanctuary and allow visitors to tour as well. We will also visit the Museums in the area (expect on Mondays) . During our time at the Sanctuary, we will also be visiting the tombs of Sister Lucia; Saint Francisco and Saint Jacinta - as his holiness Saint Joh Paul II stated, the two Candles God offered to Humanity. You’ll now have some free time on your own for prayers and adoration. Until 2020 we are suggesting the Itinerary of the Pilgrim, a suggestion for the Pastoral years 2018-2020.

Basilica de Nossa Senhora do Rosario de Fatima

We are driving for dinner between 7.30 PM and 8.00 PM as the Rosary and Candlelight Procession begin at 9.30 PM. 9.30 PM – 10.45 PM – Rosary and Candlelight Procession.

Magnificat Tours

At the end of the Procession we'll return to Lisbon and drop you off at your hotel/vacation rental You are tiered but your heart is full! We will take you back to Lisbon safely for some deserved rest.

Daniela Tome is the best guide for this pilgrimage-like tour. She was punctual, in fact early, in meeting us at our hotel. She started by asking about our expectations and special requests. She is motivated by her personal ministry which shows how she describes events that transpired in Fatima. She is very knowledgeable and brought us to all the places that we expected to see and experience. The candle light procession cannot be missed. The restaurants for lunch and dinner were superb too. The price is worth for this private tour. It was the best highlight in our tour of Portugal and Spain.

We planned a trip to Lisbon with the main purpose of visiting Fatima and in searching for tour options we found Magnificat Tours and choosing them was the best. On the tour, I was only with my mother and Daniel, who was our guide, gave us valuable information about the history of Fatima and the little shepherds. Although the tour was in English and my mother speaks Spanish, I thank Daniel for explaining very well and slowly because this way my mother was able to understand a lot and enjoy the visit to Fatima like I did. We left Lisbon on time and had the opportunity to buy souvenirs and, in addition to visiting the town where the little shepherds lived and the church where they were baptized, we had time on our own to attend a mass in the sanctuary and spend an unforgettable time without hurry. Thank you, Daniel, for your dedication in sharing Fatima's story. If you are looking for a tour full of history and complete, this is the option.

My mother and I did this tour, and had a great experience. Our guide, Daniella, was extremely knowledgeable about both the historical and religious aspects of the Fátima story, and we learned a great deal from her. She really led the tour as a pilgrimage, and it made for a rich spiritual experience. She was also very flexible and will to accommodate some schedule changes, based on what my mom wanted to do. All around a great tour, very much worth it!

We were so grateful for a wonderfully kind tour guide, Daniel. Daniel was punctual picking us up at 8am. He covered so many interesting facts and history on our way to Fátima . On this tour, we never felt rushed. We also stopped at the large shopping Fátima Gift shop to buy our rosary beads so that we would have best selection and also have them to be blessed once we had the opportunity. Our group enjoyed tremendously the visit to the children’s village and their houses, the apparition sites and the evening Mass, Rosary and procession of lights. Special highlights: seeing and waving “hi” to the oldest living relative of Sister Lucia and visiting the building showing the relics of Francisco, Jacinta, and St Pope JP2. It was a long day but well worth it. We were looking for a prayerful private tour of Fatima, and our time with Daniela was exactly what we hoped it would be. She provided non-stop detailed explanations of every part of the Fatima story, stops in the village where the children lived, fields where Mary appeared - and of course the main site (which is highly built up now). We started the day with shopping ("to get it out of the way" as Daniela put it), had reservations for a local Portuguese lunch and dinner around Fatima, and concluded with a rosary and candlelight procession in the dark. I highly recommend this tour company.
