Boaventura

Boaventura - a charming agricultural hillside village with valleys torn by several courses of water. One of the oldest colonised villages and almost isolated from the world nearby, it is considered to be a natural sanctuary of great tranquility and is appreciated for the peace that it provides. With so much to discover, beautiful scenery and verdant valleys, exotic and colorful flowers, Boaventura is really nature’s masterpiece.

Fortim do Faial

Fortim do faial - At the beginning of the 20th century, the place was used as a viewpoint, a function that it still preserves today. It is decorated with 10 pieces of ante-artillery, smooth-sided, of English origin, assembled in naval repairs. Traditionally this artillery saved on feast days in honor of Our Lady of the Nativity.

Porto da Cruz

Porto da Cruz - Named after the cross that was placed on the shore to indicate the port for the Portuguese explorers. One of the many agricultural products here was sugar cane and today the processing factory is still in full operation mainly producing rum and honey molasses as it has since 1927. We had an amazing day with Gerhard. We enjoyed driving off road through the forest, enjoyed a nice lunch and then got to see all the beautiful spots of the island! Every time again!

It was really great tour led by most professional guide I have ever had - Nuno. We saw so many places, got so much information and had a fun at the same time. We really enjoyed it and I can only recommend both the company and Nuno as your guide.

Had a super day seeing the stunning coast, villages, vineyards, coves and forests on the east coast. We had a sunny day and therefore fantastic views of Madeira’s 3 highest peaks and the extra enjoyment of having the roof off the vehicle. There was a bit of off road driving through the forest which was very interesting but the majority of the tour is on the road. We had a lovely traditional meal at a local restaurant. Hugo our driver was extremely knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. All in all a very enjoyable trip.

We took this trip together with my family and we have fully enjoyed it. Our guide took the effort to show us amazing sceneries and gave us lots of insight into Madeira history. We visited remote villages, had lunch in an incredible restaurant up deep in Santana county- so far this was our best eating experience at Madeira - generic native food, prepared gorgeously and served with car. And this for a discounted price! We warmly recommend this trip!

Un moment inoubliable partagé avec des personnes formidable et surtout notre guide très professionnel Lino, que nous n'oublierons pas, tant par sa gentillesse et son professionnalisme à conseiller...

We are coming off a 10-hour roadtrip with our great guide LINO. He transfers to us the love of his island with passion. Numerous explanations accompany the places visited, which makes them even more enjoyable. Impossible to discover these places alone. The 4x4 trips (massages 😂) off the beaten track are also worth the detour. In short, images and memories for a long time!
