A lovely day visiting a beautiful island. Lido tours hosts were very friendly and punctual in transferring to and from the ferry in Funchal. Our guide on Porto Santo was terrific and explained a lot about the history, economy and potential future of the island. We visited some great places and enjoyed views of the beautiful natural beach at Calheta. The botanical gardens were a tranquil oasis and an incredible achievement for the owner. The day was paced perfectly with time in the afternoon to have lunch and chill over coffee. Ferry was excellent, very bouncy on the way over. Breakfast not an option. Thoroughly recommend tour. Thank you!

Expensive for what it was. Shared coach (not bus) with others going to other places on the Island. English guide it said, some English but mainly when asked. No guide at all at the pick up back to the ferry. Could have done this much cheaper and seen more of the island privately. Not again, more research needed and from Viator as well. Not value for money at all.

Warm waters, glorious 9 km long sandy beaches, hiking trails with stunning natural scenery. The Vila Baleira town is the perfect location for a relaxed lunch or coffee break.

8am from Madeira arrive Porto Santo 10.30 then a fantastic tour of the island by 4 x 4. Authentic farm, wine tasting, beautiful views and a menagerie in an oasis followed by 3 hrs for lunch and beach. Ferry back at 7pm. Would thoroughly recommend this tour.

The beaches are beautiful, soft sand and clean. We had a nice tour around the island which took around an hour and 30 minutes.

Excellent day trip. Great initial tour of the island and then you spend the day at the fantastic beach in Porto Santo! Worth staying overnight to get two days here as the ferry ride is over 2 hours. Really enjoyed the whole day here!

This was such a wonderful day for my partner and I. Our only criticism is that the tour part went quite quickly. Before I review, traveller tips for the ferry: pay the extra 10€ for first class, definitely worth it, or go prepared with your own lunchbox. It is an early start, but you have to go by the ferry times so that’s not a reflection on Lido Tours - they’re brilliant. We were picked up at our hotel and swiftly taken to the port, where we boarded the ferry. It’s your standard ferry with all the usual amenities - get yourself some comfortable seats before you do anything or upgrade to 1st class or book the restaurant in advance! Once we arrived on Porto Santo we were met by Sol (or also known as Patricia) who was fabulous from the very beginning - I absolutely applaud her for being able to do the tour in so many languages! The tour took us to some great view points, and Sol gave us loads of information and history of the island throughout. There was even an added stop at a bird sanctuary which I wasn’t expecting - bonus! (This lasted about 2 and a half hours - and for us was a a bit quick - maybe there could be more opportunities for stops or longer duration of stops?) The second half of the day we were given some recommendations for lunch and then left to our own devices. We chose to remain close to the beach and had a lovely afternoon of sunbathing, drinks and walking. Lido Tours then picked us back up for the ferry and met us back in Funchal to take us back to our hotel. A lovely day and I absolutely recommend the trip as it takes the hassle out of transfers, booking tickets and there’s the bonus of the tour on PS. Well done Sol and well done Lido Tours!

The tour itself was brilliant. Lots of photo opportunities and the tour guide was very informative and helpful. Saw some amazing views from high points and visited a very attractive old house. The only issue is during winter season the ferry from Funchal only does 1 run so it arrives at 10:30 and then doesn't leave until 18:00. The tour ended at about 13:00 which left me with 4 hours picked up at 17:00 to find something to do. If you're prepared or have kids you can go to the beach and catch the sun or go for a swim but I had neither so I got bored fairly quickly and just ended up walking through town and out onto the pier just staring at the amazing views. Nothing wrong with the tour or guide, just didn't know there would be such a long wait.

We booked this through Lido Tours and the office staff could not have been more helpful. We were advised regarding the most appropriate sailings and options for an island tour and transfers from our hotel. Excellent service.

Käisin saarel 3 lapsega (19-, 15- ja 9-a.) Laevasõit saarele kestab 2,5 h. Laev kõikus korralikult, sest olid kõrged lained. Saarel paistis päike. Oli tuuline. Esimene vaatamispunkt oli kõrgel mäe otsas, kus avanes vaade liivarannale. Sai ilusaid pilte. Saarel on väike botaanikaaed erinevat liiki lindudega. Suuri vaatamisväärsusi saarel ei ole. Päeva teise poole olime rannas. Sai ujuda.
