Your Itinerary

Sintra

As we leave Lisbon behind, we head to the center of Sintra for our first tasting: a pillow, essentially a delicious sweet made from soft dough and stuffed with egg and almond cream. Find out why the confectionery is so expensive for the Portuguese while you stroll through the city center.

Colares

From Sintra, we go to Colares, just 8 km away, for a wine tasting at the Adega Regional de Colares. It is the oldest wine cooperative in the country (founded in 1931) and brings together more than 50% of the total production. It also plays an important role in the local economy. This wine cellar has a stunning interior because of the size and number of barrels it houses. That's where the aging process takes place. In addition to wine tasting and sampling, you can also take a guided tour of the interior to see the process, its history and how these wines taste so distinctly.
