Myself, husband and our infant child went for this tour on a lovely and sunny Saturday morning. Our guide, Mariana made the day amazing! She has such a lovely, sweet and friendly demeanour that made the whole experience great. She also gave us so much historical facts and information about Lisbon plus tips on how we could avoid tourist traps! All in all it was a fun day and the various dishes and wines were very tasty! We ended up buying some of the wines we tasted as we enjoyed them a bit too much!

Vanda was a fantastic guide, full of detailed information about the city, which she clearly loves, the food culture and history. The information was delivered with clarity and humour and the 3 hours passed too quickly. She has clearly spent a lot of time researching where to take customers as all of the food was fresh and delicious and you will not go home hungry.

Firstly kudos to Secret Food Tour management for having an efficient team. This is our 4th tour with them (Rome, Budapest, Edinburgh). They helped coordinate the backend changes (thank goodness for the WhatsApp tool!) when my flight was delayed. To the first patient tour guide whom i was communicating with via WhatsApp. And finally being able to change from the 10am to the 11am tour as Lisbon’s traffic just wouldn’t help us… We (my 15y old son and i) had a wonderful outing with Marta. She has crafted an interesting itinerary that wove history and Portuguese food through the old town of Mouraria. Coupled with a great group….It was a great introduction to our first time in Portugal.
