We are looking forward to meeting you at the On Tales store, on the marina de Calheta for a detailed presentation of the Private experience you have selected. Guests as well as all team members will be required to have their temperature checked, as required by law. We will be happy to clear out any doubts you might have regarding the tour and help you prepare. We will help you choose the snorkelling equipment and get to know each other until the Captain is ready to welcome you on-board !

Madeira Islands

Once on-board our yacht, our crew will introduce themselves and proceed to the security briefing. Then we will sail out on a cruise towards the cetaceans guided by our spotter on-land. We will choose the safest and most comfortable route according to the weather conditions. Find out more about wildlife and the amazing Madeira island. On the way, we will choose one of the many secret spots along the southern coast to go swimming and snorkelling.

If you are considering this excursion, do it! You can even book through Chase Travel or other third- party sites with points. If you are looking for the sunset cruise, contact On-Tales directly as they can’t set an exact time on Trip Advisor due to sunset’s time change throughout the year. The crew and office staff were top notch!! Everything is included (snorkeling gear, drinks, and professional pictures) as advertised! The crew was very friendly, informative, and passionate about marine wildlife and both were local to Madeira! They were both very friendly and gave us many tips on their favorite restaurants and hikes around the island. We had a relatively rare experience to get a group of whales to swim right up to/ under our boat! This was icing on the cake for a great experience and amazing views of the southern coast of the island from the boat!

Amazing tour with a very nice crew. We were able to see some Dolphins right at the beginning up close. Had time for a nice swim in the ocean and the crew prepared a nice variety of drinks for us. Can highly recommend!

It was a unique experience to search for wild animals on the Atlantic together with the crew. The weather cooperated, but unfortunately the animals didn't. We were offered drinks and all our wishes were fulfilled, including those of our children. In a beautiful place with crystal clear water, we were able to hop from the yacht into the Atlantic. And lo and behold, on the way back we were able to admire the fascinating dolphins. The lovely crew didn't give up for us and we were still lucky. Thank you for this wonderful experience. By the way, the sparkling wine was delicious.

We had an absolutely impeccable experience. The entire team—Rosa, Emanuel, and Beatriz—was extremely attentive and professional. We felt very safe and comfortable on board the yacht and really enjoyed our conversation with Emanuel and Beatriz. They shared their extensive and professional knowledge about sea life with us (Beatriz is a biologist!). Thanks to the crew’s spotter, who informs them where the chances of seeing dolphins are higher, we were able to see five or six dolphins and even a flying fish, which was incredibly impressive since it was our first time seeing such a wonderful creature! We also appreciated the respect and care shown to the animals, ensuring that our boat did not stress them or interfere with their lives. Highly recommended!

There is a reason this company has 5 stars! Overall, from beginning to end (phone call to showers) was amazing! We came to Madeira for 9 days mostly to hike. We had 1 scheduled day to relax but at 8pm, we decided to try to book a private dolphin/whale trip for the next day. We couldn’t book online so I called, expecting to get a voicemail and follow up with an email but they answered! They were fully booked but said give them an hour to see what they can do. They called back in 30 minutes and said we are confirmed! They emailed us a link to pay and all the info needed for our trip. We rented a car so we drove from Funchal but the road was closed and we had no idea what to do. I called and they answered again! They helped us navigate around. I have never received this kind of kindness! Rosa then met us outside (because we got lost in the parking lot.) There were 3 of us, a captain and photographer on our trip. They were just as kind. We saw so many dolphins but of course this is not guaranteed but what we loved even more is that they pulled around to pick up a water bottle in the ocean. They were very specific about the safety regulations with the sea life and very knowledgeable. Words can not express how pleased I am with this island, the people, the cleanliness, the beauty and of course On Tales. I highly recommend the private trip. We had plenty of space, we enjoyed swimming in the ocean leisurely and our conversations with John Pedro (captain) and Andre (photographer.) Thank you for our amazing rest day :)

There aren't enough stars to rate this boat tour. It was an unforgettable experience for us. We went with our 6 and 7-year-old children and their 79-year-old grandmother. The whole team was absolutely fantastic, and we felt safe and well taken care of at all times. The organization was perfect; they also arranged the transfer from the hotel and back. There was a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere on board. We could have drinks and interesting information about the dolphins and the island was provided. During the trip, we were very lucky; the first dolphin greeted us after only 2 minutes and then we were able to observe 3 schools of dolphins. Incredibly beautiful. Everyone takes great care of the animals and is very careful not to stress them. At the end of the tour, we were able to enjoy a refreshing swim in a bay before returning to the harbor. All in all, we can absolutely recommend the tour without reservation: it is suitable for young and old. The whole team is wonderful. It's also nice that photos were taken during the trip - they are fantastic! Many thanks to the entire team for this wonderful experience.

We were taken out to sea with a great yacht. It didn't take too long before we spotted two types of dolphins. Kind, accommodating and knowledgeable crew. We were provided drinks underway and given some great time for a relaxing swim in the beautiful blue 19*C ocean. It was an added benefit that the crew took great pictures for us along the way, so that we could focus on enjoying the experience itself. Highly recommend!
