Your Itinerary

Rua das Flores

This lively street used to make the connection between the port/pier and the center of the city, but it had been abandoned for quite a while until a couple years ago when it underwent renovations.

Mercado Ferreira Borges

This market was built in 1885, and is one of the best examples of iron and glass architecture; although it was built as a market, it never really worked as such.

Carlos was delightful and showed us parts of Porto we would never have found on our own, including the museum in the old prison, the tile repository and the fabulous bakeries. We enjoyed the views over the water, the train station and the tips on local restaurants and how to get into the Lello bookshop. It was a great first day in Porto!

Carlos was a wonderful tour guide! He is so knowledgeable about Porto- its history and its present. We walked through areas I never would’ve seen if I had been in a car. Highly recommend!!!

It was a delight spending a late Sunday morning with Rosa. She’s insightful and knowledgeable about Porto, through the ages to the present day. We learnt a lot on the ‘Off Beaten Track’ tour of Porto and it differed from the ‘Highlights of Porto’ tour we took on the first day of our trip. We started from a quiet, high up spot, with an unfolding gorgeous view of the river. Rosa lead a peaceful, meandering tour through the tiny, sometimes cobbled, ancient streets, imparting history and stories as we progressed. She covered so many different aspects, from history, social issues, local tales and local people of interest, religion, royalty, architecture etc. She’s even inspired us to do the Pilgrim walk in the future! Rosa’s a calm, intelligent and relaxed, lovely lady who tells and pitches a story very well and without judgement. We were provided with interesting detail and information and given space to make our own judgements and conclusions. Rosa’s an exceptional storyteller and we really appreciated her style. We recommend highly that you take a tour with her. She also kindly gave us ideas about places to go and to eat, which was very generous of her. Thank you so much for the tour, Rosa!

Andre’ was fabulous! He customized my tour to fit my interests. He gave such unique insights into the history of the city. Things that most would not point out. Today was an incredible day due to him! Highly recommend this tour

What I hoped it would be My guide was intelligent informed and enthused about showing off the more human and significant cultural side of Porto

Zero on Urban or Classic Art. We had already done a walking tour of Porto so had hit the tourist spots, so thought this would be off the beaten path, etc. Basically just walked around Porto. I wouldn't suggest this. Although I liked our guide, just didn't get much out of this.

I had a great tour through Porto! As a tourist you will not find those places we went to. Bruno was a perfect guide who knows every corner of Porto.

We really enjoyed this tour. It covered all of downtown Porto, which is full of good street art. This tour was particularly good for a family with teenagers or 20 somethings, because I think our kids were kept enthralled throughout. I recommend this tour for anyone with a teenager or young adult in the group, and for anyone with an abiding interest in art and how it influences and is influenced by its environment.

Saw this tour and thought it sounded a bit more quirky than the usual thing. We were not disappointed! Carlos was so full of knowledge, of Porto, of where to eat, and more importantly of the street art! He knew the artists, their intent, as well as the methods of how they appeared on the wall. Would definitely recommend as something a bit different, making you look at Porto in a whole new way!
