Our tour Rui Fernandes of MyLisbonTours was amazing. He was incredibly knowledgeable, thorough and gave everyone ample time to view not rushing us in any way.

Andriy was a perfect guide. He met us where and when we expected and told us what the tour involved. He was friendly, knowledgeable and considerate. The walking was relatively easy and downhill although there were a number of steps. The area we walked through was fascinating and Andriy’s commentary was very interesting. Alfama is well worth seeing. The streets are narrow and intimate and there were no crowds, just local people. We had a snack in a small cafe. The tour ended in a very well known place by the water. We would recommend this tour.

What a wonderful experience! Our Alfama Walking Tour was a personal and intimate one, the four of us, two couples traveling together, and our wonderful Guide Andriy. Andriy was interesting, informative and a pleasure to walk the streets of Alfama with. He was always open to questions and went beyond discussing the Alfama neighborhood we were walking thru, sharing with us his insights and experiences on life in Portugal. Andriy's English is excellent and his University education and passion for Portugese history, internation relations and economics shines thru. Any tour in Lisbon led by Andriy is tour to be taken.

I loved learning about the history of Alfama and exploring the tiny alleys of this neighborhood. My tour guide, Andriy, was very knowledgeable about the history, culture, food, and traditions of this most historic district of Lisbon. His English was very good and he answered all my questions thoroughly and authoritatively. I would highly recommend this tour!

I thought this tour was enjoyable and my sister really enjoyed it. If you're walking to the meeting location it is VERY hilly so if you have any issues walking up many hills, I'd recommend getting a taxi or other form of transportation. Aside from that, the tour was almost entirely downhill (with the exception of one or two smaller hills). The tour guide was very knowledgeable and was able to speak about historic Portugal and Alfama, and also modern day Portugal/Lisbon. It was a small group (only 4 of us), which made it even more enjoyable. I really appreciated how they reached out the day before to share a picture of the tour guide and details of where to meet him so it was easy to find the meeting location. It was also great that the guide reached out on WhatsApp to connect right before the tour so we could find him easily. My only small critique is that because our tour was on a Saturday, the guide took us to a large street sale/market to walk through, and I can't say I was really phased by it (we didn't have time to shop and I would have preferred skipping it, but that's just me!). Other than that, I thought it was a great tour!

Andre was an absolutely amazing guide. He was so knowledgeable about Alfama and shared so much information with us. We especially enjoyed the stories that you don’t normally read about in history books. He brought Alfama to life and took us down winding alleys where we could see the everyday life of the people who have lived in the area for generations. It was a fascinating experience.

The guide was extremely knowledgeable. This was onebof the best small group tours we have ever taken.
