    Do NOT take this tour!! We did the Red (Belem/Lisboa) tour. We have done many hop on hop off tours in other cities and enjoyed them…this was awful, a complete waste of time! With the rich history of both Lisbon and Portugal, there is plenty to talk about. There was really no significant information about the history of the city or Portugal. However the audio consisted largely of bad elevator music as we drove by apartment houses. When we did go by an actual point of interest almost no information was given other than the name of the POI and perhaps the year it was built. As an example, we came past a point on the river where it was stated many of the famous Portuguese explorers departed from….wow, very interesting tell me more…which ones? Maybe some information about some of those explorers? Maybe an interesting anecdote from their adventures….NO! Nothing more! The only thing worse than one of these Lisbon tours is 2! (ie do not get the 2 tour “deal” !!)

    The audio guide is bas. It is very limited and unspecific. For example, it gives a small bit of info on a building but does not describe it nor say where to look for it.

    This was the worst hop on hop off bus tours I’ve ever experienced. There were a number of seats that you couldn’t plug in the audio ear piece. The seats where the commentary was working it was hopeless with a lot of music, couldn’t turn the volume up, not much information on the buildings or the area. Traffic was very heavy, the bus crawled along, we had no idea where we were. Total waste of money for 4 hours..

    This Lisbon tour was excellent and very interesting. Our guide, I am sorry I cannot remember her name, but she was so lovely and she was very knowledgeable and captivated everyone with her story telling of history. And she speaks 5 languages! The highlight was the tour through the Palace, she brought the building to life as she explained the rich history of each room, artwork, furniture and the lives of the old monarchy. Fascinating. We would definitely recommend this tour.

    We booked this tour through Shore Excursion group for May 16,2023 and Cityrama Gray Line was the local provider. The bus audio system failed and bus departure was delayed for 30 min. The comments were in four languages. English speakers were minority group and comments in English were the last when bus already passed the points of interests. English speakers should look English only tours even if they are more expensive.

    The National Palace of Ajuda, a former royal palace and a national monument, is a magnificent museum and the only palace that can be visited in Lisbon. It faithfully preserves its original 19th-century arrangement and decorations of the rooms, namely in the monarchs private quarters and throne hall. Strategically placed on the top of the hill of Ajuda, and enjoying an exceptional view over the River Tagus, the Palace houses important collections of 18th- and 19th- century decorative arts.
