Quite informative but there had been a recent sand storm so some of the stars were obscured. The meal at the restaurant was OK, the soup and pork was fine and the house wine was drinkable. The pudding was industrial and truly, they should have not bothered. It was cold out and so warm clothing is advised during the winter months at least. A long coach trip for what it was but I would not have wanted to make that journey at night in a hire car.

Well we were recommended this trip by our resort rep who said it was the best experience- with romantic dinner under the stars set in the National Park. The reality was a nearly three hour coach tour - well two coaches as we had to change- and I think I counted about 9 or 10 pick ups before we got to the Bodega for the promised dinner. We were herded in like cattle by a sour faced English woman who was exceptionally rude and clearly hated her job. The meal was all but inedible - warm soup which was tasty but needed to be hotter, pork in mushroom sauce with Canadian potatoes and some sludgy veg and a mass produced vile synthetic dessert. All inedible. The view was nice though. Then back in the coach for another 45+ mins to get to a car park where our knowledgeable guide proceeded to Point our various astronomy highlighting stars and constellations. He did it in Spanish English and German so it took an hour. In this time I was eaten alive by insects and needed the loo- there was none. Then back in the coach to go home and yes we had to change. This trip cost me €114 a ever been had?? Definitely plus I am complaining to my resort for this rip off mis-sold event. I reckon there were about 50 people give or take at €57 each that’s €2850 the meal could only have cost €8 per head - so less the cost of the Gide and the coaches let’s say someone is making about €1500 here - rip off!!! Fuming -

Quiet possibly the worst tour I have been on! On paper it sounds amazing and it was something we were extremely looking forward to. However from the get go it was utterly disappointing! The hotel we were told we were to be picked up at has a completely different name to the name emiled to us, which made it incredibly hard to find. When we finally found the hotel and made our way on the coach, the journey took a good hour which we accepted, it's a long way up! Finally we got there and it was so dark that you cannot even see mount tiede! I realise this is an evening tour but I done understand why arrange such a tour in the evening when visabilty is zero. The coach dropped us off in a car park as to here we stayed! In the car park! With two guys with a presentation on an iPad, we had paid this money and endured this journey to stand in a freezing car park with a guy showing us facts on planets on an iPad! After listening to this for a good hour or so we had the long painful journey back which took 2 and a half hours! We left in complete disappointment. I really do not believe this tour is worth running and most certainly not worth the money we paid!

It was more like a lesson of astronomy not a vulcano tour.

Simply amazing, the star gazing and having someone to teach you all about the history of stars. The trip was pleasant with lots of detailed knowledge about the local culture and history.
