Another amazing experience! It was only me and my husband on the tour and we travel in a sedan with Vincent, our tour guide. We went to beautifully old, typical French village for wine tasting and 8 course lunch. Lunch was delicious!! We couldn't ask for more. We had a great time. This is what we wanted given the limited time we had in Paris.

Our driver/guide Victor was excellent- very informative and personable. This tour, however, seems rather high priced for a nice lunch, a visit to one Winery and a quick stop in Auxerre. Most of our 9 1/2 hours that day was spent in the van driving back and forth from Paris. The lunch at a restaurant in Chablis was interesting but is advertised in Viator's write up as seven courses - we got only five. Didn't leave hungry but the hype and the reality should match. Just feels like for almost 700 for two the whole experience on this tour should have more flesh on the bone.

Even though I booked a small group experience, the tour turned out to be just my husband and me. Victor was a great tour guide, very personable and knowledgeable. He took us to see a premier vineyard, to lunch at a fabulous restaurant, and on to our wine tasting. The wine tasting was excellent, where we learned some very interesting information about Chablis wine. We were very happy to see some of the French countryside and the amazing vineyards in the Burgundy region.

I'll start by saying that our guide was a very nice man. However he was not prepared to lead this tour. No research was done prior and it made the 10 hours very uncomfortable. In fact our guide shared that this was the very first time someone had bought this tour. Our drive from Paris to Chablis was mostly in silence. We received a bit of information but not a lot. When we arrived at the Jean-Marc Brocard winery we were warmly greeted and proceeded to the tour and wine tasting. As were were leaving the winery we had some questions about the adjacent church that appeared to be quite old but our guide really didn't have any information. I was a bit surprised as anyone taking that tour would want to know a little bit about the surroundings. We then left and went to a very nice lunch. That was the highlight of the tour. After that we proceeded to visit the abbey at Auxerre. Again our guide didn't have any information to share. Our visit through the abbey was in silence because the tour company hadn't done any research on the history of this abbey or city. Why were we at the abbey? Why did the tour feel this place was a worthwhile stop? Lastly we walked through the village of Auxerre but again our guide didn't have any information. What role has this city played in history? What events had taken place? Etc. We would have settled for even the most basic information. We learned nothing. In essence we paid a premium to take a taxi ride to Chablis and back. What a waste.
