Beautiful country side. Guggenheim architecture amazing! Lots of history as told by our guide Jose Lu

Jose was our guide and he was fabulous. We unfortunately had a rainy day which made walking around and seeing views difficult, but Jose was so delightful and interesting that we still had a great time. Loved visiting the Guggenheim in Bilbao and we had a fabulous lunch of pintos and local wine with our group. Definitely recommend!

What an amazing experience! Our guide made us feel like we were old friends sharing the beauty of this small region. It could not be better. Eva was incredible and her enthusiasm made you feel like you were part of a grand adventure. You trusted her and she did not let you down. The experience had just the right amount of time on your own. A series of wonderful and marvelous things happened along the way. We had perfect weather - sunshine while hiking down and back up from Gaztelugatxe, a wonderful procession of a catholic ritual from one church to the next, a wonderful lunch and great selection and the Guggenhiem. The rain on the way back. Magical. Do not miss this, especially if your guide is EVA.

Begonia the most personable knowledgeable comfortable to be around guide. Perfect English and other languages and well travelled. She managed our small group tour time effectively, viewpoints, exploring Bilbao Guggenheim Museum and lunch where you select your own with it in English. Learned so much . Punctual hotel pickup and return as advised. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience with Jose, I cannot recommend this enough! The food, the visit to Dragonstone and just a day of fun!

The Guggenheim and visiting San Juan Gaztelugatxe were highlights and well worth the trip. The driver was unfortunately only that, a driver. We received limited information on everything we did and were literally dropped off and collected later, which was actually a good thing at the Guggenheim. The lunch was terrible. Food was dripping in Oil and most left food. The driver drove way too fast and when several of us asked him to slow down he got quite nasty and took it personally. It was wet and he hit 150 kms an hour at one stage although he did make more of an effort on the return journey. Personally, I was terrified at one stage as were others as we discussed when we got to Bilbao. I’d recommend the trip but with a different lunch venue and driver

Our guide Iker was friendly and patient with our kids. He was punctual and knowledgeable about the local culture and history. We arrived from San Sebastian so the car ride was over an hour. It gave us some time to rest at the end of the trip.

booked bilbao tour w TA. local agent maria messaged w clear details. our guide imanol met us, no other travelers, grateful our booking was held! super new comfy van, imanol a considerate, confident driver. he immersed us in basque country and culture, and astounding Basque history. besides being one of the most humble/accomplished young men alive, articulate and informed, he kindly adjusted to our slower walking and brought gaxtelugatxe and bilbao alive in one long delightful day. stops for refreshment, vistas, relaxing plaza lunch w local specialities, stroll through old town bilbao, crowned by the guggenheim visit, where imanol secured a wheelchair, making viewing a breeze. it was a privilege to experience bilbao, a city transformed from industrial wasteland to world class art center (with the old town preserved!). may this model be repeated other places. blessings on the Basque!

Far better from the outside than the inside. The building is a nice modern design with quality features if poorly finished in places. Inside is very sparse and the exhibition really are a matter of taste. 20% plus of the exhibitions were unavailable to us but that was not highlighted upfront nor did it reflect in the price. The current exhibitions are very boring and my children could have done better than most of the pieces. Overall a massive disappointment.
