Muralla de Toledo

Toledo has had a wall from the Romans, which had to be rebuilt by the Visigoth King Wamba in 674. The current wall is of Arab origin where we can find some Roman remains. King Alfonso VI, is granted the completion of the works of the wall in 1085, after reconquering the city. Toledo has always had a great wall, well known throughout its history, taking center stage its entrance and exit doors, such as the Puerta de Bisagra, the Puerta de Alfonso VI or the Puerta del Cambrón.

Plaza De Zocodover

The Plaza de Zocodover is a square of the city of Toledo. It was the nerve center of the city during most of its history, acting as its main square. A part of it was designed by Juan de Herrera in times of the reign of Felipe II

Alcazar de Toledo

The Alcázar of Toledo is a stone fortification located in the highest part of Toledo, Spain. Once used as a Roman palace in the 3rd century, it was restored under Charles I and his son Felipe II of Spain in the 1540s.

Great tour of Toledo. On a hot day the tour was just what we wanted and wanting to come back for more. Our tour guide Arantxa was very educational, patient, and clear and concise. We would definitely book again.

Our tour guide was fabulous! She was very informative, very kind and a joy to be around. The tour itself was well run and organized. There was a bit more history than I was expecting, and I would have loved more time to explore and less time in the cathedral. There was a fair amount of walking but nothing too arduous. My young kids hung on just fine. Although I wish I had more time to explore Toledo, the duration of this tour was perfect - began at 9, back to Madrid by 5…that’s pretty hard to find but it made the day much more enjoyable!

Would 100% recommend. We went to many sites and was very easy to take pictures. The structure of the trip is very comfortable and allows for a lot of other things like shopping and eating.

Tour was was enjoyable. Cathedral was the highlight of the tour. Little more time to explore the city would of been nice. Food is Pricey and not very good. Restaurants seem to capitalize on tourist.

Aranxas (hope I spelt her name right!), our guide, was perhaps one of the most joyful people we met. She was sweet and kind, and knowledgeable, and punctual. She made the trip super enjoyable. I highly recommend her and the company’Fun and Tickets’.

Overall a very good tour. Only 4 out of 5 is because I was expecting the tour entirely in English. The guide switched between Spanish and English due to the mixture of the group. Only 4 stars because if you are expecting all English, you will not get it. Besides that, the guide was very knowledgable and kept us on a good pace.
