We needed a getaway from monuments and cathedrals and this was perfect. Horseback riding with Hipica Pasadoble showed us beautiful scenery in Donana park. Then we spent some much needed relaxing time on the beach and got lunch at a local beach restaurant. We finished with a stop at El Rocia to learn about the wild horses and pilgrimage. Carlos was our guide and made sure every detail was perfect. He treated us like family and was above and beyond helpful. Super big shout out to Carlos for a great day! Helpful hint for travelers: this day has everything so you need to prepare/pack for horseback riding and the beach and then a stop after the beach. “Carlos let us leave backpacks in the car which made it easy. There are umbrellas and chairs to rent at the beach.

We had a wonderful day trip to Donana National Park! Carlos was an excellent guide, very friendly and knowledgeable. He was very flexible with plans for the day, so we could enjoy some time relaxing on the beach and swimming in the ocean and have lunch right by the beach. The horse ride through the dunes and along the coast was beautiful and we really enjoyed visiting El Rocio and seeing the wild horses there as well!

Cette excursion était particulièrement dépaysante et agréable. Nous étions deux et avons pu profiter d'un guide et d'un chauffeur personnel toute la journée (nous étions les deux seuls participants). Ils étaient extrêmement sympathiques et n'avaient pour seul objectif que de nous faire passer une excellente journée. Levés à 5h du matin pour se rendre au parc national, nous avons alors été pris en charge pour une visite en pseudo bus-4x4 (15 personnes max) pour une visite de quatre heures du parc national. Celui-ci est sympathique et s'adresse particulièrement aux ornithologues en herbe et grands amateurs de nature. Nous avions pour intention d'effectuer la balade à cheval dans le parc plutôt qu'en 4x4. Nous sommes donc entrés en contact avec Just Not A Tourist via WhatsApp avant de réserver. En à peine 5 minutes, j'étais en train de chatter afin que l'on réponde à toutes mes questions. Mon interlocutrice s'est avérée extrêmement sincère - ce qui est suffisamment rare pour être relevé - et utile. Il s'est avéré qu'il n'était pas possible d'effectuer la randonnée à cheval lors de notre visite (semaine Sainte oblige!). On m'a alors proposé d'arranger notre itinéraire pour se rendre dans un ranch après la visite du parc. Très sincèrement, je n'en suis pas revenu ! Etre à ce point flexible et prêt à satisfaire ses clients... Quelle bonne surprise ! Bref, nous avons néanmoins préféré en rester à la visite 'standard'. La visite du parc était suivie d'une balade dans le village environnant. Ce dernier vaut le coup d'oeil. Nous sommes ensuite allés à la plage pendant quelques heures avant de rentrer à Séville. Une journée que je ne suis pas prêt d'oublier (tout comme le guide et le chauffeur!). Je recommande chaudement !
