Mezquita Cathedral de Cordoba

Enter Cordoba’s most important monument, the Mezquita (aka the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba), a symbol of the many religious changes the city has undergone over the centuries. Originally a Catholic church, it was converted into an Islamic mosque in the Middle Ages, then back into a church after the Reconquista. With its otherworldly architecture, the Mezquita is considered one of the most accomplished Moorish monuments in the world. Notice the mix of stately Roman columns, Baroque and Renaissance frescoes and Moorish tiles and arches as you stroll the interior.

Admission Included

Jewish Quarter (Juderia)

Next, head over to the old Jewish quarter (Juderia), whose streets stretch out like capillaries and emerge onto tucked-away courtyards buzzing with locals enjoying post-siesta tapas. Listen as your guide points out the distinctly Moorish flair to these medieval alleys, reminiscent of the Jews' prosperity under the Caliphate of Cordoba. Here you'll visit the Cordoba Synagogue, one of the few synagogues existing today in Spain, built in 1315 in Mudéjar style. Before leaving Cordoba, walk down the tiny Calleja de las Flores alleyway, one of the most popular streets in the city. Look back to see the Mezquita's tower peaking between the corridor — Cordoba’s most iconic sight. Then hop back in the coach for the 1.5-hour drive back to Seville

Excellent guides and tour was well paced. Driver was very courteous. The van did have a bit of a rough ride. Everyone was extremely accommodating for diverse group.

Thoroughly enjoyed our leisurely day to Cordoba. We had a very informative guide who provided much historical, social, and culinary information.

The Cordoba Mosque Cathedral is one of the most unique sites in the world. The long history, the original mosque contains a world class cathedral in the middle. Likely done in bad taste when the cathedral was built within this beautiful building, it is now just an amazement of historical culture. The description by the guide of the contents and layering of construction wonderful.

Angel holds intimate knowledge about the cathedral that has been passed on from his father, who was also a tour guide, Excellent perspectives! Great timing and pacing of the entire tour!

The guide was excellent, BUT the way the tour was managed felt dishonest - we were asked to be ready 1.5 hours before the published time, and when we arrived at Cordoba, were told we could wait around for 1.5 hours until the start of the tour, or pay €18 each extra for an additional part of the tour. Not only had we unnecessarily been made to get up at 6.45am, but felt manipulated into paying extra or wasting time hanging around for the start of the tour. Also, the tour details said there would be a guide on the coach giving introduction to Cordoba and the history. There was no guide on the coach; he met us at the first venue. Be honest with people. Being treated dishonestly cast a negative feeling over the very good tour.

Cordoba is such a beautiful city. We got a a great introduction during our walking tour. Our guide took us all over old town showing us the various sights and explaining the history. Really enjoyable.

We were picked up near our hotel by a comfortable bus. We were met in Cordoba by our guide. We had a break before the tour. We toured the city Center and the Mezquita and had time for a nice lunch and to explore on our own before meeting the return bus.

Organization: we got contradictory mails concerning the date and had to call to be sure when we should go; the bus was 15 to 20 minutes late (and we did not get any information about the delay) The guided tour was VERY GOOD: Jewish quarter and Mosque-Cathedral with a lot of historical information and a very nice guide

The day trip to Cordoba was perfect! The van was right on time both in and out of the city and the ride over was relaxing and super simple. Cristina, the tour guide upon our arrival, was the highlight. She knew so much about the city and the site and presented all the information in a dynamic way. All in all, a seamless experience.
