The tour guide was excellent, very friendly. Vine tasting was good and oysters were fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Was a good combination of wine tasting and oyster eating! The drive to the vineyard was comfortable. A documentary movie was being filmed when we arrived so we didn't get to experience the entire vineyard, but more than enough. The tasting was good with a nice variety and good explanations. We then traveled to the oyster farm area and saw the oyster tables in the water and the prep area for planting the oysters and for harvesting them. The best was going upstairs to experience them. Fresh, briny and delicious. Plus we also got to try some smoked mussels that a group from another tour couldn't finish! Bonus. The wine we had with the oysters was perfect. Met some fantastic folks from near London as well.

Our guide Marc was very friendly and knowledgeable. The wine tasting was nice. The oysters even better! We recommend this tour cause you will never know to go to this restaurant for oysters and mussels if you are a tourist.

The oysters were the freshest we have ever tasted. Our guide was prompt, informative, friendly, and knowledgeable about the area and it’s production.

This is such an enjoyable tour. Even if you've taken wine tours before, this is just delightful and to enjoy oysters fresh from the sea within minutes, is not something you can always get at home.Once you get out of the van and smell the salt air, your taste buds are just waiting for those oysters. Our guide, Marc, was every bit a knowledgeable guide but in no way stuffy. We asked him everything about agriculture and aquaculture in France. There is no pressure on this tour, so you just can be yourself and enjoy what is best about France. Very nice wines on a very nice tour!

The meeting point was easy to find and Carine was an excellent guide. We had thought of doing a winery tour by car but this was much easier. The oyster farm was interesting (and oysters and wine served a wonderful way to kick off the afternoon). We then went to the winery. We enjoyed a tour of the chateau and chapel, as well as the tasting of a good selection of excellent wines. Highly recommend this tour.

While spending a month in Montpellier, we wanted to visit areas not easily accessible by public transportation or bike and with a local guide. The wine and oyster tour was a perfect way to experience important regional food production and the culture. Our tour guide Marc was very knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic about oyster and wine production. He offered information and answered questions about oysters, wine, the region and France. Visit to the oyster producer was the tour highlight, the proprietor, Annie was so passionate and charming, fresh oysters were fantastic! Marc lead the tour of the beautiful Chateau Saint Martin, being a vintaner, he was very informative.
Sitting in the back of the tour van, it was difficult to hear tour guide Marcs information as we drove.

This is one of the best tripadvisor tours I've ever joined (have done a number of food-related tours throughout Asia) . My gf and I opted for the half-day tour, which included a visit to a winery, St Martin La Garrigue, and an local oyster farm in Sete. We joined an Australian couple who were doing the full-day tour just after lunch. Carina/Karina (sp?) was super knowledgeable about wine-making and recent trends in this oft-ignored wine region. She is also very proud -- noting numerous times how the region has shifted from "quantity" to "quality", making the wines some of the best value in all of France. Our first stop was to a beautiful Chateau, St Martin La Garrigue. We toured the grounds and beautiful house (which includes a church inside!), ending in the tasting room. Shen then drove us to a local oyster farm, run by lovely woman. While the site itself was a bit rundown, it was still a beautiful setting -- set on a beach with thousands of oyster tables in the background (with millions of oysters dangling below!). There, we enjoyed one of the nicest oyster spreads I've ever had in my life! The four of us enjoyed two full plates of oysters as well as clams and mussels (served raw, first time in my life). Carina translated all of our questions and the oyster lady was very happy to answer. Of course we enjoyed the spread with a bottle of the local white wine, Picpoul de Pinet. Lovely afternoon and amazing value for everything we enjoyed! Definitely recommend.

Carine was a warm and knowledgable guide, meeting us in Montpelier for a trip out to a winery and then on to an oystering operation in Sete. The wine tasting was informative and the wines delicious. We particularly enjoyed Picpoul de Pinet, which we had never encountered before. It's a refreshing white that goes wonderfully with oysters. The wine chateau is apparently an anomaly as most "tasting rooms" are plainer affairs. So it was a treat to visit an historic property and get to sample in style. We enjoyed more Picpoul de Pinet with our oysters on the half shell and, again, learned a great deal about the bay and oyster farming in the Sete region. It was wonderful to have these choices made for us rather than taking pot luck on these destinations. The oyster tasting is not an advertised retail location so we never would have found that on our own. This tour is beyond reasonable for the fun it delivers, a real find. Leaving the driving to Carine allowed us to relax and enjoy the countryside, not to mention the wine, which was poured in generous fashion. Highly recommended.
