We had a wonderful time with Jordi, who gave us an informative, lively and perfectly-timed walking tour. He is the consummate professional with excellent English. Before we wrapped up the walking tour, he recommended great places to eat tapas, drink wine and have the best coffee in town.

Daniel was an amazing tour guide. We are inquisitive and love history, and Daniel had tons of interesting information to share about Cartagena. We were very interested to learn about little details like patched bullet holes in the city hall building left from world war 2, and how to identify roman ruins vs. muslim ruins vs. christian ruins. Daniel described things that we never could have learned from reading plaques or researching online. He answered every question we asked (which were many!). Even though the tour was 4 hours, it flew by. The tour covered every place that I wanted to see: the roman theater, calle mayor, the plaza, a restored roman house, and more. Daniel was sensitive to the needs of our 10-year-old child, and gave us all the time we wanted for breaks to cool down in the hot July sun. Daniel even recommended a couple restaurants in Cartagena that were great, AND he called and made a reservation for our group of 7 ahead of time. The table was waiting for us when we arrived. Thank you for an amazing experience that we will never forget.

Ana was our guide through Cartagena. Despite the rainy weather, she ensured that the day was fun and informative. Ana is extremely knowledgeable about her city and itā€™s Roman history. She took us for a fun local coffee at a beautiful cafe and gave us an excellent lunch recommendation at the end of our tour. It is easy to see how much she loves what she does! I would highly recommend Ana and this tour for anyone looking to explore Cartagenaā€™s Roman roots.

this tour concentrated on the history of Cartagena. Our tour guide Dani was so knowledgeable and really related the history to the remaining architecture etc. He is enthusiastic about this topic and it really shows. Having him take us through the museums, roman houses and the theatre made such a huge difference to our understanding of what we were seeing. If you are interested in getting into the history of this city this is absolutely the tour for you.

We had a fantastic time with Alisa on our private 4 hour tour of Cartagena. This was one of our last cruise port at the end of a long and hot vacation cruising... we were debating whether to keep this tour or just relax on the ship... we were really glad that we didn't cancel. Cartagena was one of the most interesting city/town I have ever visiting with a very complicated history/architecture. Based on its proximately to Africa, there were a lot of historical Muslim influences, there were Roman ruins, and of course 18-19th century palaces. We were able to see all these different interesting historical sites in this walking tour. We also got to enjoy a local coffee with Orange liquor, a little shopping not required and ended up having a great tapa lunch based on Alisa's recommendation.
The only thing that was uncomfortable was that it was extremely hot... but other than that, I highly recommend this tour!

I coordinated a walking tour for 15 people on my cruise. It was easy to arrange and walked off to meet Sergio, our guide, on the dock. He then gave us an excellent tour of the city, covering not only the historical points in the tour description but a wealth of interesting information about the modern city too. At each stop, we walked straight in and avoided the main crowds as we were given detailed information about the sites - they were really brought to life. Particularly good was the House of Fortune which most of the other tours missed. We finished in the main street and were given tips and advice on making the best of the rest of our time in Cartagena. I recommend the tour.
