We had a wonderful day with Iker. He was very friendly and incredibly knowledgable. He showed us around several small towns/villages in French Basque country but always gave us the freedom to explore more and ask questions. While he clearly had a plan for the day, we always felt like the experience could be tailored as we went. Overall, his friendliness and genuine love for the experience made the day all the sweeter as he explained what we were seeing and added his own personal touches. I would absolutely recommend Iker to anyone wanting to have a fun day exploring the areas around San Sebastian! Finally, Iker's friendliness and helpfulness didn't end when the tour did. During our stay in San Sebastian were were able to ask Iker for recommendations, which he was more than happy to provide. He really went above and beyond and we were incredibly grateful!

Juan was exceptional and provided us much history of the area and it's Basque culture. Juan was very personable and made us feel comfortable as we spent the day with him exploring.

While the villages and sceneries were charming/beautiful, this tour was exceptional because of our guide Daniel. He impressed us with his knowledge and appreciated his obvious fondness for this part of the world. We enjoyed his company and felt like we were being shown around by a local friend. We should highly recommend this tour with Daniel.

Iker was an excellent guide. The tour of the French side of the Pyrenees was fantastic. The countryside was beautiful and the villages were quaint. Espelette was the best! The trip to St. Jean Pied de Port was nice but the town itself was so amazing. The scallop shells and hostels everywhere as this is one of the major sites to begin the Camino to Santiago de Compostella. We learned so much about the Basque language and the history of the area. We even travelled on part of the Pass du Roland. Iker taught us so much and we came away with a deeper appreciation for the region and its culture.

This is one of the best trips we’ve ever had. Iker was an amazing guide. So much good food so many great places to see so well organized. I cannot recommend them more strongly.

We spent a wonderful day with Iker touring the French basque country. Because the weather wasn't favorable to going up into the mountains, he altered the itinerary to make sure we really got a feel for the culture, terrain and food. His knowledge of the region is extraordinary and he shares it in a very entertaining way. We hope we get to return to the area and engage Iker again.

My friend and I did a day trip enjoying the beauty of the northern Basque region and Spanish & French Pyrenees and French coastal towns with Iker, our guide. Iker was very knowledgeable and it was evident he has such a passion for what he does and for the Basque region. From teaching us how to say some of useful words in Euskara - the local language (it definitely is NOT Spanish!) to the wealth of knowledge about the region with several wonderful stops to explore and have a wonderful lunch......it was definitely a fun day tour. I would highly recommend Iker as a guide. He told us about his cooking tours and that would definitely be on my list for my next visit. Until then, for those of you traveling to the beautiful Basque region, book your tour(s) with Iker. You will not be disappointed!

It's rare to find a guide with such passion for, and depth of knowledge of his subject, in this case being all things Euskadi. The very personable Mikel took us through the postcard villages of the Pyrenees while giving us a solid background in Basque culture, food, wine, agriculture, history and of course, politics. Frequent stops to stretch the legs provided a chance to experience these places up close. An excellent lunch in Espelette punctuated the day. Mikel's further suggestions as what to eat/drink/visit in and around Donostia proved to be spot on and were much appreciated. Booking directly with the very helpful Iker was drama free. As an aside, it was a pleasant surprise to find a company with such a relaxed cancellation policy.
