Pau was a fantastic guide. We were 2 couples (in our active 60's). Picked us up at hotel in Barcelona, and drove to the monastery. A bit cloudy, but also nearby mountains were cool & mysterious. We did a hike, toured the chapel, saw the madonna, heard the boys choir, and took in beautiful views as sun started to come out. Then off to nearby restaurant for lunch and wine tasting + tour in afternoon, which was also fascinating. Pau was a great guide, driver, and story teller, very personable and engaging (ask about his music and dance background). I highly recommend him to lead this tour!

This trip was all that we had hoped for. The day was fantastically planned, we had time to do exactly what we wanted and we learned from a local - Pau who was simply spectacular. Wear comfortable shoes and take the walk out to St. Michael’s Cross, where the views of the entire region are really amazing. The monastery is quite beautiful, and the boys choir sound like angels. Our lunch was delicious and at a charming local family owned restaurant. We found the private tour provided the flexibility needed to enjoy the entire experience at our own pace. Our discussions with Pau were informative and FUN! He has a passion for his city and is worldly and well traveled to provide context and comparisons to other places he has been. The Vineyard tour also fantastic and our guide very knowledgeable providing a great deal of detail without overwhelming us. The winery we visited produces primarily sparkling wines - which was perfect refreshment on our warm Spring day. Overall a perfect day.

What an amazing place to visit! Pau did an amazing job from start to finish! Great communication in advance, very knowledgeable, and smooth schedule. He even had car seats for the kids! We did not know how special and important Monserrat was so we’re so glad we had a private tour! Hiking the area is lovely, the market was a fun stop, lunch was delicious, and the wine tasting was lovely! Would highly recommend!

The scenic cable ride from the Monastery to the vineyard. The tour of the vineyard was very interesting.

This was a wonderful experience. Pau was an absolutely fantastic tour guide. He was on time to pick us up, attentive and very personable. He shared so much information with us and worked hard to tailor the trip to us and what we wanted to do and experience. He took us to a perfect local family owned and ran restaurant for lunch. Montserrat was beautiful and the history was very interesting. The wines we tasted at the winery were excellent, though the education was slightly lacking as the guide there was young and still learning, however; it was still a great experience overall. This is a higher priced tour, but it was worth it for the private guide and private transportation as well as the terrific experiences.

Frederick was wonderful-he was professional and kind and hit the perfect note of providing lots of historical information yet not being overbearing. The three stops were spectacular- and we spent just right amount of time at each stop. We were a group of 4 - mom dad and 2 kids in their late 20’sA really lovely day for all.

The Experience was extraordinary the tour in Llopart cava winery not too far from mountain Monserrat was amazing with so much knowledge and detail of each wine and sparkling champagne bottle this young man his name is Roger took us on the field showing us each Grape tree from the most expensive to the regular wine and champagne he took us through the wine cellar and explained every detail even things I didn’t know me and my wife loved it we took 2 bottles , thank you so much Roger for that extraordinary experience keep up the good work we go back to Puerto Rico with better knowledge then what we had.

Great scenery and good information. You have to find your way to the black Madonna on your own, but it wasn’t too bad. Wine tasting at the end was a little rushed because we wanted to get back to Barcelona, but held outside in the beautiful grounds of the winery.
