From Funchal towards the highest mountais we allways have funchal scenery behind us, soon we arrive at the third highest mountain in Pico do Areeiro at 1818m altitude with stuning views and landscapes. After we will start our discent to Santana trougth ribeiro frio and cruzinhas, where we will see the beauty of our indigenous Laurissilva Forest was classified as UNESCO World Natural Heritage site in December 1999. Once we get to Santana we will show you the houses that keeps the original characteristics of Santana, a thatched roof and of course stoping for a lunch, after the lunch we come our way back by the eastern coast where you will be introduced once more to breathtaking views, stopping at last at the eastern point of Madeira, Ponta de São Loureço.

Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools

Starting from Funchal trought Câmara de Lobos, on our way to Ribeira Brava we are going to travel trougth the old roads, in the morning we start in the southwestern coast , and have a stop for a drink, after we will continue our way up until the plateau to 1500m altitude were we will be above the clouds like in the aircraft :). After crossing on the plateau Paúl da Serra all the way to Porto Moniz will be in off-road! Here we are going to stop for Lunch and take a bath in the natural vulcanic swiming pools. After our lunch we will drive along the northen coast villages and our guides will showcasing amazing sea cliffs with lush vegetation, amog them you will see some of the best waterfalls on the island.

Valley of the Nuns

On this halfday tour we will take you to visit Câmara de Lobos municipality wich is the second largest in the island with 30.000 inhabitants, on the way up to the mountains we will across the banana fields and cherries and apples trees trought the Eucalyptos forest of Quinta Grande. Offcourse we will continue into the mountains and valleys passing the vineyards area of Estreito de Câmara de Lobos wich represent more that 50% from all vineyards in the island, also you will see a good example of the terraces cultivation seen throughout the island. These trip have a stop in a very local spot where you can try the tipicals drinks and cakes :) !After we will visit the nuns valley from a very nice view point

We booked the Central, North & East tour. The weather was great, our guide was terrific and very knowledgable. Nowhere was too busy (apart from the lunch stop). The route was well chosen and seeing less visited tracks and communities made the visit more memorable. Being able to ask the driver to stop at will to look at a plant was a joy. Thanks for a splendid day.

Jon was our driver and what a fantastic tour guide of the island he was. We had the most amazing day with him. Our five night trip to Madeira was for my wife's 40th Birthday and we are so glad we booked this tour of the west side of the island. We also had our 4yr old daughter with us. She especially enjoyed the rough off road parts. We stopped at so many veiw points. And covered so much of the island. Far more then we expected. We stopped off for lunch and a swim which was amazing. And saw so many views and waterfalls. It was Honestly the most Incredible experience. Made all the better by our wonderful guide jon. It was amaaaazinnggg, fun and thrilling. We were excited to see and explore Madeira as much as we could. The tour was worth it and made it worth while. not to forget Joao (John) our guide was amazing, he was great and all about history and facts. He was very fun and very knowledgeable and also very unpredictable and Funny, he really made the entite tour fun. I would definetly recommend them if you ever visit Madiera. They are the best.

We did the west and east tours with the same guide Miguel which was excellent. He did the tour in French especially for us. We learned a lot of things about the island, it was really interesting. We also had good recommendation for lunch time. I recommend this company and especially Miguel. If we come back we will definitely book another tour with him.

We had a tour of Eastern Madeira with Victor and we cannot say enough good things about it! The tour was incredible, informative and honestly made the whole trip worth it. Victor himself is lovely, so considerate and knowledgeable if he asked me to rob a bank I'd do it.... like, he'd make a cracking get away driver. The man climbed over a fence at a ravine to rescue my glasses, I'd nominate him for a Nobel peace prize. Madeira is a place you have to experience in person and if you're going there, this is the tour you need to do.

We were recommended this tour by our friends who recently came out to Madeira a few weeks before us, he told us that we needed to go on this tour and ask for John. Me and my partner went with my mum and dad who wouldn’t ordinarily do this sort of thing on holiday and they loved it and it was the highlight of their trip as well as ours. He is so informative, funny and couldn’t of done enough for us. He was happy to take our photos as well as a group. We did a private Madeira wine and off road tour which took 3.5. AMAZING EXCURSION!!! Manuel our guide was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable, fun and took the time to show us all the little important things the East Coast can offer. Standing up in the jeep overlooking the clouds was the highlight of the trip. It was amazing to visit all the local low-key spots that was not packed with tourists. We had the best Poncha on our trip. 100% should do if visiting the beautiful island of Madeira
