20 Years myself and my family have been going to the Algarve and living there during the summer and EVERY time we have been to Vilamoura Water Sports Centre (once known as AlgarveExcite). However, I am extremely disappointed to say we will never return to this company. A long story short, they booked us onto the wrong boat. We were told we were getting a relaxing catamaran boat tour to see the caves, but we were quickly rushed onto a speed boat, which we were told was a dolphin safari and cave tour. Not only was this not the boat that we booked but they changed the time of the trip 3 times. The third time they changed it was 7:30am and they wanted to change the time to 10am!! so for the 3rd time we changed the itinerary of the day to fit round this trip. Once on the boat one of the male crew members went to take one of our life jackets when we said "excuse me thats my one" he replied with "oooo calm down". Maybe we should've calmed down and gone on this death trap boat with no life jackets... our bad. We were seated next to a pregnant lady who was told to leave the boat as it was not suitable for her, which left me wondering why even book her on in the first place? Coming out of the marina was like being on a sling shot and did not feel safe at all and we weren't even at sea yet. When we realised that this trip was not what we booked and definitely not what we wanted to spend 2 1/2 hours doing, we asked the lady crew member to take us back. She was very understanding and compassionate as we were genuinely frightened and agreed to turn the boat around for us. I was then approached by the 'Captain' (I use that word lightly) , who showed no empathy or concern for the safety of his passengers. He actually seemed annoyed at US for wanting to get off a boat we didn't even book to go on. When we arrived back on the dock the 'Captain' shouted "okay anyone who wants to get off do it now as i'm not doing this again" and then laughed louder than anyone else there. Not only was that embarrassing and done to humiliate us, it was just rude and completely pointless, but seemed to feed his ego. When we returned to the check in desk I spoke with Olivia, who my family and I have spoken to many of times. I explained the situation to her and thought I would get some compassion off her. Olivia told me to walk around the marina to the booking desk and explain the situation to them with the goal of getting a full refund. However, as we reached the booking desk the lady informed us that on our way round, Olivia had phoned the booking desk and told them not to refund us, 5 minutes after she told us to go there for that purpose. So there we were paid for a boat trip that we never even went on! I can not emphasise enough that you do not book with this company! I feel truly let down and disappointed by Olivia herself and the company. Many months out of the year we are here in the Algarve and never again will I put money in that womans pocket. Avoid at all costs and book off the surrounding kiosks who actually care about you. Olivia Moreton

The boat going out caught buoy line wrapping around the prop took 20 minutes to clear. Didn’t go into any cave until Benagil which had around 20 kayakers and another vessel we had about 1 to take pictures the reason this isn’t a 1 is we caw dolphins playing on the way back.

Although the coast was beautiful we were a bit disappointed. Our time was changed and the boat we had was changed. The time in the caves was minimal especially if at the back of the boat no time to run up for pictures. Couldn’t hear anything from the attendant at the front. Glad we saw it but expected a bit more.

As an older couple, we appreciated the care and attention the Vilamoura Watersports Centre team gave us during our Benagil caves tour. Did not enjoy the trip. I have a bad back, we were looking for a relaxing boat trip. This was like a speed boat tour. I was doubled over getting off the boat. You do get to see an amazing cave but the journey was not worth it.

Me and my fiancé we did this trip for the first time and it was simply amazing… We saw all the caves and we also were lucky to see the Dolphins on the way back… The Crew were super friendly and kind, they explained to us all the coast and they make us laugh so much it was super funny. We totally recommend and we will definitely do it again next time in Portugal/Vilamoura .

Absolutely amazing although trip advisor forgot to tell me it was moved from 11am to 10am so had the tour planner ring be just before 10 luckily we were only 10 minutes from the meeting point so they waited for us... And I'm so happy they did the boat trip was absolutely beautiful and captain and tour guide were fantastic, I would advise to wear a cardigan or jumper as it can get quite nippy when the boat is in motion as it goes quite fast...... We weren't promised that we'd see the dolphins but we got lucky and saw 3 together would highly recommend this trip ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We didn’t get the tour. They didn’t show up. Got to the office before booking time to find a big sign saying they are closed. Nobody showed up and nobody responded when I messaged through the app. It wouldn’t be such a big deal but the provider had to confirm before TA accepted my reservation. I am expecting a full refund.

The boat and crew were great. Very informative. The views of the coastline and caves were very impressive! Pictures just don't do it justice.
