Sadly, the tour guide cancelled on us shortly before the tour was scheduled to start and we were not able to reschedule during our stay in Barcelona. The tour operator needs to take better care of their customers and ensure booked tours are conducted as planned.

I learned very little about Picasso. The guide was constantly backtracking us on our walk, so it felt like we were just doing a lot of u-turns. She was personable and knowledgeable, but she just didn't seem to understand our vibe. It was like, if we weren't already Picasso experts, we just weren't going to talk much or see things related to Picasso. Oh well.

The tour should have included the Picasso museum. It was more of a tour of an area of Barcelona with a little emphasis on Picasso.

We went early on a Saturday which was perfect as we were without much of a crowd around us for almost the whole tour. The tour guide who was wonderful, took us through the winding streets and alleys pointing out all sorts of things we’d never find in our own. She was extremely knowledgeable on both the history of Barcelona and the art scene during Picasso’s time. This was our 3rd or 4th Viator experience ( all different cities) and they always deliver!

So we started with a late arrival by our tour guide. Then we walked around the streets for hours. Never entered the Museum of Architecture or the Picasso Museum (what we came to Barcelona to see and what is supposed to be 90 minutes). The guide said ‘we were so lucky to get tickets at 7pm’ (our tour ended at 1pm today there was no charge to go into the Picasso Museum). Problem is we had Picasso Museum and “treasures of Barcelona” scheduled 10:30am to 12:30 with a cooking class scheduled for 2pm. We never saw Picasso and do NOT recommend this tour. Who knows if we will ever return to Barcelona. We barely made our cooking class (which was terrific) and suggest you avoid this tour and excursion. What a waste of time and money. Problem is you can never get the missed experience back.

What a wonderful day with my tour guide Irina today! The day centered around Pablo Picasso and I was in heaven. Irina was an exceptional art historian and I learned so much about Picasso’s life, training and his art. Irina was very warm, friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend the experience and Irina. Thank you!

I really enjoyed our walking tour with Ivanna. She was personable and very charming. She even reached out to me prior to tour to get some info about my partner and myself and to help coordinate timing for museum tickets which is something I really appreciated. She really helped us navigate the small streets of El Born, dropped us off in front of the Picasso museum and gave us plenty of recommendations for after the museum. Highly recommend spending the afternoon with her.

Sarah and I spent a charming afternoon with Illiia after a brief thunderstorm and a beautiful glass of wine at Rambla 7 before taking an incredible walk through the parts of Barcelona material to the discussion of his life before, during and after his sojourn in this magical city. Illia was lovely and so well informed on the subject and the area. We were rivetted for hours! Book this tour with Illiia!! You won't be disappointed!!
Thank you again Illiia!!
