Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Socorro
The place of the big mosque later converted into a Jesuit centre, the very heart of the neighborhood. Vila Andrade is next door and has also connections with fado.
Monumento Mouraria Berco do Fado

A small church which is at the center of one one the most popular processions in Lisbon. It is also a symbol of resistance of fado and popular culture against the Estado Novo totalitarian regime that vowed to destroy Mouraria in the name of progress.
