    My husband Mike and I had a fantastic time with Gabriel. The foodie tour was one of the highlights of our trip. We went on a delicious foodie tour in Faro. Started off the day trying some of the local pastries including this carob, fig, and almond ball. They also make them in a cake 🍰 format. We then headed over to Faro’s main market to get their local bifanas, but the main shop was closed so we tried this local pub. We then wandered over to a local tavern to have chorizo and garlic prawns 🦐 . We ended off the day with a fantastic meal of seafood Açorda (bread cooked with seafood, garlic, and coriander) and Lingueirão (razor clam rice). 🤤 I would highly recommend booking this tour!

    We had a wonderful walking / food tour in Faro with Gabriel on Thursday November 24th! It was a fantastic way to spend our Thanksgiving Holiday. First we went to a local bakery where they were making fresh pastries and breads and we sampled all of the local sweet treats – including the 3 delicacies cookie with carob, fig and almond. Next we walked over to the Mercado Municipal and experienced the fruit & veg vendors, cheese vendors where we tried authentic Portuguese marmelada, fish vendors, and finally the ultimate delicious Bifana Sandwich at Snack Bar da Xica! After the market we wandered through the walled old town to explore the beautiful tile pedestrian streets and gates to the sea. Our day ended at Old Tavern Restaurant where we enjoyed amazing tapas of grilled octopus, chorizo over an open flame, and beef stew. Gabriel created an amazing specialized tour for our group to really experience the highlights of Faro during our day trip. For my 7-year old nephew this food tour was the highlight of his trip to Portugal. Highly recommend booking Gabriel for an authentic immersion experience in the Algarve!
