Tour was cancelled due to a parade. You should have known about this ahead of time and not booked us for that day.

What a great way to walk, listen to stories about the gilded age, see beautiful architecture and get immersed in the NYc culture of the time! Richard was so knowledgeable, kept us moving and interested with fun stories and ironic fact. Highly recommended!!!

Amanda_J

Very knowledgeable and organized guide who was able to keep us on track and answer all questions. Definitely recommend.

Though it was informative, and the tour guy was excellent the title was a little deceptive. There are actually almost no mansions from that age remaining. Most of the trip was looking at pictures on an iPad of what used to be.

Richard was excellent and was always paying attention to the needs of the group as he was departing wonderfully interesting and in-depth information.

Tons of fun, and Richard is an amazing guide - a walking encyclopedia of New York City and the Gilded Ages (the real one and the TV show).

Kim_N

The tour guide lacked enthusiasm and gave very little information. Basically, she showed some photos and gave very little detail. Everything she walked you to you could have seen on your own. The only two buildings you see were public buildings. She was so unengaged she never even walked into the last building with us yet the other tour guide who had caught up to us went into the building and provided information. It was so obvious she had no interest doing this job. Hire someone else who is excited to do this job like the other guy who ran the other group. Some of us left early. This was a complete waste of the money. Also, a lot of the buildings are under scaffolding and you can’t even see them.

Alexis was knowledgeable & fun and kept things interesting. My husband, 23 year old son & I all enjoyed the tour, even with some rain.

Absolutely fantastic, Richard our guide was so knowledgeable and informative would recommend to anyone visiting NYC.

Charles_B

He was such a sweetheart and so knowledgeable. In spite of the rain, it was great. I don't know what else to say
