I’m not sure of the boundary between Fitzroy and Collingwood, but the walk is well worthwhile. And a nice added bonus - plenty of great beverage stops along the way to refresh a weary traveller…

Just wanted to say THANKS to Ben and Tom for our Fitzroy Street Art Tour on Sat. We learnt so much about street art and viewed so many amazing pieces of art, which we would never have seen without our great guide! A great way to see art and walk the streets of Collingwood and Fitzroy. We will be back again.

A friend and I, seniors, were led on this tour by artist Barak. A wonderful day walking through vibrant Fitzroy, being shown varied styles of mural street art including work by Barak and by his fellow artists from Blender studios. Hearing stories of infighting, insight into the history of the techniques and artists, shown stickers, pasteups and installations, told about the issue of graffiti bombers. I would definitely recommend this tour to people of all ages, a unique tour.

My sister, brother and I had a “siblings day out” participating in the Fitzroy Street Tour with Ben as our guide. As a practising street artist, Ben was so informative on everything about street art - the types of street art, the unwritten rules between new and established street artists and the stories behind each artwork and the artist. It was a nice touch to have a coffee/drink included at the end of the tour. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour as two long term Melbournites and one of us visiting from Queensland. I will definitely be back for the Melb CBD Tour another time. Thank you Melbourne Street Art Tours and thank you, Ben.

Definitely worth the money. Amazing Tour with many different types of Street Art to see. When you like Street Art and you don't really know a lot already, this tour is definitely the right thing to do. I've already done other tours in different cities, but this one waa the best so far.

I can't recognise this tour highly enough - Ben was an excellent, knowledgeable and entertaining guide. I enjoyed learning about all the different types of street art, learning about street art culture and seeing diverse styles. I'm a local and this tour opened my eyes to Fitzroy and Collingwood in a whole new way. Thanks for such an excellent few hours.

This is a must for any visitors to Melbourne as unless you know where the art is it is easy to miss. Our guide Ben had an authentic knowledge as he was a street artist himself and had real talent and an in depth knowledge. It was very interesting to find out about the hierarchy within the artist community and the “rules”.

Highly recommend this off the beaten path walking education about Melbourne Street Art, its variety, unwritten rules, beauty and challenges. Our guide, Ben, is a Street artist who provided insight and personal experiences which enlightened the entire experience. This was a fun way to have my eyes opened while learning about the scene.

I went on two amazing Street Art tours in Melbourne. One of the CBD and one of Fitzroy. As these tours are led by working artists -- and you can see their work on the tours -- they provide a unique lens to view the vibrant Melbourne street art scene. Street art in Melbourne helps make Melbourne an alive and fantastic city -- and not just because Business Insider says it is one of the most "liveable" cities, if not the most, "liveable" city in the world. Street Art and "liveability" can and often are in conflict. So having two working artists with different perspctives, in two different areas of the city, make these tours "must dos" in Melbourne. Dan led the CBD tour -- while other walking tours of Melbourne will show you the city's greatest street art hits, Dan breaks down not only the art but the entire cultural/political significance and puts the entire city in perspective. He is funny and audacious and brings you into a secret world hidden in plain sight. Ben's tour of Fitzroy was based more on the artwork itself, and less on the politics, but was equally fascinating. Though Fitzroy is out of the CBD, it is close enough to he gentrifying, revitalizing and becoming more and more expensive -- leading street artists even further out. But there are still amazing things to see and Ben has a keen eye for changes. He even did some work while on the tour. The CBD tour ends at Blender Studios where you can paradoxically see street art in the studio and not on the street! But it is invaluable. For understanding urban Australia, nothing s better than taking these two tours. Fascinating, interesting and engaging.

This tour was excellent (I did the Fitzroy tour, but I’m sure the CBD one is great too). Street art is ubiquitous in Melbourne and while I had noticed it walking around town I had no real knowledge of it’s history or significance. Having an artist as the guide adds an extra level of insight (especially since I am not an artist myself). I learned a lot, saw some very interesting paintings/installations and developed a new appreciation for this form of expression. It’s a unique tour and I would highly recommend it to anybody.
