What to expect

A guided walking tour of the elegant historic center of Florence is the discovery of a unique city in the world, a UNESCO heritage site and the cradle of the famous cultural phenomenon known as the "Renaissance". For its monuments and works visible only on its streets and squares, Florence is an open-air museum. In addition to this, the city boasts a dense web of relationships made up of people, anecdotes and traditions that those who visit it do not remain indifferent to its charm. Our tour starts from Piazza Santa Maria Novella, where the church of the same name is the first example of Renaissance architecture, thanks to the facade by Leon Battista Alberti. We will then come to see the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, one of the most majestic churches in the world. We will then see the interesting history of the church of Orsanmichele, which was once the granary of the city. You will then be surprised to see an icon of Florence: Ponte Vecchio, today the oldest bridge in the city. Finally arriving in Piazza della Signoria, some of the great Renaissance masterpieces are offered to view such as Michelangelo's David, Giambologna's Rape of the Sabines, Benvenuto Cellini's Perseus.
